Good win against very poor opposition, passages of very good passing football, clean sheet, decent saves from Gerks, two goals from Murph, no injuries(hopefully) again a great confidence booster ahead of the Boro A very good satisfying day all round Well done the lads Playing same 11 and continueing with 4-3-3 is really playing to our strengths now, which gives our opponents plenty to worry about So credit where it's do. Thats as maybe but he is still no right back, gets done tooo easy and most of his passes tend to be hoofs!! Him and Knudsen are our weak links!!
Really pleased with the way we played today admittedly against a poorish Charlton team. Still Murphy and Sears on the score sheet is a good omen and I think we will be there fighting at the end of the season for at least a play-off spot!
He is a RB ....if you think he's any good or not is a different thing... I don't mind him I think he brings a lot to the team......as for K'nudsen for me the jury is still out but as he is young and new to the English game I'll give him some time to settle in.

When I sat by his dad at Derby away last season his dad confirmed he's not massively keen on playing there ( this is a year ago ) but will do anything for the team so that's the right attitude. I do not rate Chambo at RB - too slow - but a decent showing today and great vision for Sears goal. Knudsen was a little better too - neither got done very often so a move in the right direction. Just watched the match, great result...horrible football. I agree with Spanish, both our full backs are pretty bad. Wouldn't mind Solly from Charlton, he looked handy enough. We play successful football but it is terrible to watch. We can barely string four passes together and appear to make things more difficult for ourselves than we need to with the ball constantly pumped forward. Gerken had a good game today, came off his line when needed and made some great reaction saves. Sears is still wasted out wide but is getting chances all the time so will probably stay there until Fraser is back. All in all, I'm very happy with the result which has put us up to seventh on the same number of points as Brum. We didn't do our goal difference any harm today either. Well done lads
My point was that he has been playing RB for probably 3 years so IMO that makes him a RB......I agree that he could play CB without bother and I have no problem with a player that can play multiple positions depending on the teams needs. It is a shame that the season is over ......
Well he may have played there for 3 seasons now but he hasn't completely impressed me with his ability as a full back at all. Very makeshift but alright at times sure. Douglas picked out 3 or 4 very decent passes. Definitely an improvement in play I would say. Today reminded me of first half of last season, first and foremost winning every single 50-50 and a nightmare to play against. Only this time we don't have the likes of Sammon!
I also enjoyed the game...........I think that we tend to play football in the final third.....in the middle third we mix it up...and in the defensive third it's 'not there don't feck about with it get it in the final third for Murphy to compete for it'.....
