Can't believe no one has mentioned the ride given to Sternrubin by Richard Johnson today - that was an absolute masterclass
Happy birthday Ron , my eldest daughters today as well (f ING 25 and still demanding Disney films and cash) so I hope your day is better than mine. Shout barney and ste plus any others as I have only had a quick glance. Time for the taxi to take me to the restaurant and the family to attack my wallet.
Happy Birthday Ron. Funny you mentioned the Harry theme at Newbury, Stick said the same thing at the track! Nice round from Harry, we are delighted with that. After a couple of iffy jumps he crept into the race nicely and jumped well. Tom Cannon is also a very decent lad and could be one to keep an eye on, yard rate him highly. Such a shame about VAR, was buzzing to see him. Horse is fine so that's the only good news.
I only saw it live at the track and have not been able to watch it again. Did he just overjump and knuckle on landing? How many novice chasers have fallen on debut then gone on to win at the Festival I wonder?
Yep, can't wait. He'll be some sight over the Railway fences won't he. Hopefully Sprinter Sacre will show up, it's the race everyone wants to see but I'm getting the sense Nicky isn't up for it.
