After spending a lot of money and 18 months in charge, can you see any progress from LVG? Is it five 0-0s in the past two months
TBF apart from Fellaini, you should be able to stick any team out their and expect to win that game. PSV were distinctly average. I think it's the fact we go up against mediocrity and play with such reserve that makes me think LVG is a coward. It's not development, just treading water. No other club has ever rebuilt in this way. Teams in worse positions than us (when Moyes left) have rebuilt and progressed quicker in terms of their attacking, technical game. The best teams in the world do this all the time. But for some reason, United need 3 years of dull, anti-football to do the same?
Relax, Treble! Which team has been rebuilt in the last 18 months? Back tp the game; As for the game today, the second half was disgraceful! It has to be the worst United play that I've seen this season. It was summed up by a time when Rooney controlled the ball perfectly outside of the box yet it almost looked like he stood still to the point that PSV launched a counter attack. That really p!!ssed me off. Fellaini also adds no value to United's play. The manager has to bare full responsibility for his insistence on playing Rooney at some point. As for Fellaini, we should sell him. He's never been of United quality. Oh yes, Ashley Young is DONE as a United player.
The worse ****ing " performance" I've had the misfortune to watch. Disgraceful from a United team especially when a player like George Best was being remembered. The players and LVG (as he is manager) must take responsibility. Did they realise that they had to win? Did they falsely think that a draw was enough as it kept them in 2nd? Totally clueless clowns and this is not an exaggeration. Sometimes it is better to go for it and lose rather than be so damn clueless. A draw is the same as a defeat. A win against Wolfsburg needed whether a loss or a draw.
Sadly not. We got another 0-0 draw at home against a team we should have swatted but there were obvious signs of progress. Anyone who can't see how well this team is evolving should just switch off their internet stream.
Yeah, simple as that. It puts last nights piss poor showing into great perspective, if we can't score one goal at home against PSV how in God's name can we be expected to win away at Wolfsburg? Right now I would say confidently that we've got no ****ing chance whatsoever.
The worst performance for a long time at OT and as bad as that 35 minutes debacle at the Emirates. What was so disappointing was the cluelessness of so called top players. The haunting image is Bastian Sch having the ball in midfield , and passing the ball back to smalling who then felt obliged to push forward to do the telling pass. What the ****? I would have even accepted a defeat, if we had attacked and worked hard to create chances. LVG may have set the instructions but I cannot absolve the players of their share of responsbility. Are they ****ing robots or youth players? Did they forget they were playing at OT?
I take on board most of what you're saying except that I think we played well in the first half and created a number of chances. Different story if we'd buried one but we didn't. So, what the **** was said at half time? Where did they get the 'inspiration' to come back out and play so ****e? They more than likely knew Fellaini was coming on and collectively their shoulders sagged at that point because, and let's be perfectly honest here, that bloke is not ****ing fit to wear a United shirt.
The state of play in the CL: Chelsea: need a point. Arsenal: need to win by 2 goals at Olympiacos United: need to match PSV's result. As PSV will likely beat CSKA at home, United will need to beat Wolfsburg away. Ironic that United a few months ago the more likely team to go through, now facing a harder task than even Arsenal.
Maybe not harder than Arsenal as at least Wolfsburg have already qualified. Not that I expect them to roll over and let us win of course. It's dereliction of duty for all responsible that we did not put this to bed by winning last night. Utterly shambolic management.
Wolfsburg haven't qualified. If we beat them and PSV win their last game then Wolfsburg are out. So they'll be more than happy to play for a 0-0. So will LVG probably.
We never know. May be the players and LVG will realise that there is nothing now to lose with playing a holding game and that it needs all out attack to win 3 points. A draw or a defeat won't make an ounce of difference if PSV win (as they surely will).
