Its very kind of you two buts its a long time since I have been to Elland road. When I wanted to go I couldnt aford it [growing family and a large mortgage] Now i can afford it I dont seem to be able to get up any real feel for going and paying good money to watch second rate crap. I would love to talk at some time about the old days, but unfortunatley the memory dos not work as well as it used to do and I would proberly bore you to death. By the way glory were did your Dad take you of to.
Jaysus, with all this talk of free flowing beer, I migh even be tempted to turn up. Specially with so many auld lads attending, I wouldn't feel too much out of place
I'll bet he didn't take you to many games in 75 after the poor man had to put up with your moaning for 30 games or did he sit at opposite end of ground?
Think Bristol City in January will be my first trip up. Depends if we get a good home game in the FA Cup. Would be great to get a decent team in the draw. Would put some fire in the bellies, as against Arsenal, Spurs and scum.
I know what you mean, but I went to MkDons, then saw the crack at half time in that video taken among the Leeds fans and i got the bug back a bit. Spent over 50 quid going to the Wycombe friendly and am now going to QPR. It's nowhere near the commitment of most on this forum but I'm trying hard to give it a go again. Will see how long this lasts, might wilt by the time the Charlton game comes around!
Charlton is a great trip. A friendly pub right outside. Decent train links and some good banter.... Shame about how the pitch... But they claim to have fixed it now.
