Got a Bosch Tassimo machine that takes the pods. Smooth Americano, black no sugar, for me. Mmmmmmm..... Gotta be tea first thing in the morning though. Cannat face a coffee first thing after getting out of bed.
First thing in the morning the coffee grinder goes on, for some freshly ground beans in the coffee filter. yeah, I'm a coffee ponce, so what? Need my morning coffee or I don't get started. And freshly ground is the way to go. Not much more cost, and the difference in flavour/fresh taste (reduction of bitterness) is defo worth it.
Spent too long using coffee as survival juice. Nothing but instant and hot. Saw recently that a reasonable amount of coffee per day prevents gall stones. Not alot of people know that.
We've got a Nespresso, and I've found the pods from Lidl to be a good cheap alternative to the real ones. They do 3 different types, the one I like is called Ristretto.
For the best coffee however you want to make it . First buy a quality grinder next buy beans from an independent roaster, lots on the Internet, and use the beans within a month of their roasting date. Espresso and flat white work for me.
I like all kinds of coffee (apart from decaf, also I don't fancy anything an animal has shat out) I'm happy with instant, espresso, cappuccino, filter coffee, whatever. In the house I've got a cafetiere with Lazy Sunday beans and some Carte Noire instant, both do the job for me.
