http://www.ccfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10269~2398472,00.html certainly helps the chavs.....im surprised they didn't vote to go back to one...
Notice how Cov have to mention us on it what a surprise. Why couldnt they just say a football league meeting?
Apparently Florist got very exited until they realised that the agreement was for 5 substitutes NOT 5 1st team players.
Stupid idea, I dont see how it helps teams come in line with these silly new rules UEFA have cooked up. Plus, I like to name 7 subs in my football manager games
I know i have enough unhappy players as it is because they dont get games never mind even more. the 25 man rule has cost me aswell as i used to have a squad of around 40 players. I just signed good players, didnt really think about how they would all fit in
Stupid & pointless rule. Why, for what ? You can only bring 3 players on. If you have 7 you´ve got a GK, 2 DEF´s (left & right i.e), 2 MIDS (att & def i.e) & 2 FOR´s (tall & short i.e) it gives you good options. FIFA/UEFA **** *** you complete *******
Portsmouth will probaly struggle to name 5 subs still. We should of left it at 7. Teams who want to name 5 subs let them, they can leave 2 empty spaces on the bench
They should of made a rule that at least 2 players on the bench should of came through the academy instead. That would of helped player development aswell as when you say 4-0 up 20 mins to go throw one of the kids on for a run out. That would of been alot better. Now with the 5 man bench academy players wouldnt get a look in
TBH I've never understood why you can't just have your whole squad on the field or bench, other than the fact the bench isn't big enough! This is definitely a bad thing, I can't see how it helps the poorer clubs anyway. You aren't even required to have any subs are you? If you can't fill the bench, that should be your loss. And you can only make 3 subs anyway. 1 will be a goalkeeper, but then the manager will have to decide before a game which area they think they might need an extra man in. This gives him less power to effect the game while it's in play, as he will have less choice when the time comes. Stupid.
I remember at Cov a few years back Nigel took 3 strikers off a and brought 3 strikers on. I dont think managers will be able to do that. People like Abe, Berner and Gallagher show their worth now as versatile player as they can cover a few position offering Sven better options
One of the most pointless changes I've ever seen. As said above, if teams think it's better for them to name 5 subs then name 5 subs but now youth and academy products won't get a look in now and I think we could end up with a few more unhappy players now.
Yeh definitely, Sven has done well in that sense as he has quite a few versatile players. St Ledger, Bamba, Vassell, Nugent, Waggy, and Schlupp (cover for left back!) as well as the ones you mentioned will all be useful for that. But yeh, perfect example is that Cov game, Sven will not have the luxury of being able to throw a bunch of attacking players on, or throw a bunch of defensive players on.
UEFA's Financial Fair Play framework What is this ****y ****ing rule and when have they bothered to do anything to bring all the top teams in the PL, La Liga & Serie A down to the level of the lower clubs to make it fair? What a load of bullshit!!
forever ****ing about with the little things that don't matter but won't even think about video replays that could revolutionise fair play, what a bunch of complete ****ers, FIFA, UEFA, and English FA need stripping away andbuilding back up again, from scratch
