    Decision looming: Charlie Austin
    [
    QPR admit finding the right man to replace Charlie Austin could herald the £15m forward’s departure in January.
    Hoops are headed towards decision time if they are to recoup anything for the hitman who will walk away for nothing at the end of the season.
    Austin missed out on Friday's heartbreak against Middlesbrough with a minor calf strain, but is expected back to face Leeds in a sell-out crowd at Loftus Road on Saturday.
    Lee Hoos and the rest of he Rs board reckon a new face replacing the man bought from Burnley for £4m two years ago would make any permanent absence easier.

    The chief executive said: “My whole career has been built on risk management.
    “The risk is can we replace Charlie with that amount of money? Then it’s worth taking the shot.
    “It’s not a case of, ‘oh if we don’t sell this player, we’re stuffed.’ It’s a football versus finance decision.
    “At the time, we’ll weigh up the possibilities and the probabilities of promotion, and then come out with a logical decision.”
    Austin has been linked with half the Premier League since it became clear he was up for grabs in the summer.
    However, despite interest from Newcastle, West Ham, Crystal Palace, Everton - and more recently Aston Villa, none have made a firm bid at the asking price.
    Austin has said he is willing to bide his time at Loftus Road, and should there be a miraculous return to form that propels Rs into the top six over the next month, all transfer bets are off.

    This is now getting embarrassing. Who is going to pay squat or next to it in January?
    No one that Charlie wants to go to, that's for sure.
    Our management are the equaling the Keystone Cops.

    if he does go I doubt we'll get much more than we paid for him. Charlie holds all the aces

    How long did it take us to find a Charlie? It will take at least that long to find a replacement.
    Lean years ahead.

    The running of the club has been a shambles. Too many mistakes made time and time again.
    We have had 2 chances in the Premiership and blown both.
    It has nothing to do with Money/Stadium/Academy but all to do with incompetence. Everything we do seems to be wrong.
    Remy = wrong
    Charlie and contract/selling = Wrong
    Handling of new stadium = Wrong
    New training ground = Wrong
    Badge/Shirt =Wrong
    QPR Iplayer/WiFi =Wrong
    Lower Loft moving fans =Wrong
    Players like SWP/Boswanker/Park/ = Wrong
    Hughes = wrong
    Redknapp = wrong
    Benny = Very wrong
    JFH = will be wrong if he gets the job.
    SLF = beginning to think is wrong

    I know there is more but getting depressed listing them. We are a poison chalice!

    Charlie will be here until the season ends & then will have his own decision to make, we will have diddly squat to show for it except the memories.

    During the Palace v Sunderland match tonight where Defoe nicked the winning goal through perseverance after a Greenesque Hennessey/Scott Dann mix-up, the commentator (before he lost his train of thought), seemed to be indicating a rumour that Defoe might be used as an incentive to bring Charlie to Sunderland - that was the impression I got anyway.

    Nail on the head. I'v never felt so depressed about our club as I do right now. We just lurch from one farce to another.

    Why us? not fair!

    At least we are consistent.
    Don't let it get to you mate, as long time supporters, were always in the sh!t, it's only the depth that varies.

    Agree 89%
    I always thought Hughes is a good manager and thought we were wrong

    Bosingwa was just a purchase
    What makes our future any different
    We will still need to buy top players like him to survive in the top tier
    He was still our best player in that position IMO

    IF WE CAN KEEP WARNOCK I HOPE WE SELL AND GIVE HIM THE MONEY
    Because neil is one of the shredest dealers in the market today,but if we are bringing in another lightweight manager then we are in trouble as buying players is a rare gift only brian clough bill shankley alex fergusion and neil warnock have this great gift to see a team play and to buy a brilliant player who eventually can be sold for lots more money

    if Dean Smith goes to Brentford then Bradshaw will follow. We need a young, hungry striker from division below. Plus a senior pro to replace Austin.
