Coventry looked far to organised and disciplined for us. Doubt much will budge them off the top now. The season has settled down and now the quality or lack of it depending on where you look is starting to show through. I thought Coventry's third was the best in my eyes but great goal by Dack. It appears when it comes to the Championship and looking at previous season heavy defeats such as Wolves we really are light years behind. Now i think we will be looking over our shoulders to safe guard second place from Wigan but at best we can hope is a play-off along with probably ever improving Wall, Posh and Bradford. I think we can hold our own against the majority of the teams in this league as already proven but when it comes to the crunch against the teams ive just mentioned, it will be down to guts and determination on the day. Are we going to win this league, no - are we going to come second, doubt it. We just need to keep doing what we doing to grasp the play-offs and leave it to the lottery.

btw alwaysright, what adverts?....get yourself an adblocker...oh hang-on but then it will lack excitement LOL

Would you believe that at 4-1, and well into the 4 minutes 'added on' time, the Coventry keeper wanted to waste time !

The ball went off the pitch at the area of the corner flag - for a Coventry goal kick. A ball boy went to retrieve the ball - but was stopped from doing so by the keeper - who shouted to him to 'Leave it' - just so that he could use up a few seconds by getting the ball himself !

I would tell you What Word I Would use to describe the goalie, and With What letter that Word begins - but I've already sWorn in another thread this Weekend, and I have no wish to replicate the solo hobbies as enjoyed by the Coventry goalkeeper ( and, allegedly, Bradley Dack )

    my honest answer is 'Yes.'
There is too much 'cheating' in football. I absolutely hate it- and - I don't like to 'win' [in life], by not playing fairly. This stance might make me seem peculiar - but that is how I feel. Of course I hate to lose by cheating - and I do understand your sentiment about being on the wrong end of cheating. BUT - I will always say that two wrongs don't make a right - they make two wrongs - neither of which are right ! - unfortunately not enough people in this world can understand that - partly because there is too much hypocrisy - at that usually manifests itself when I am accused of being sanctimonious - I have my faults - many of them - but I always try to be honest.

With regards to the actions of the goalkeeper - all I can say he reduced his level of performance to the embarrassing level of the Gills defence. Coventry fully deserved to win the game, although I am still finding it difficult to understand that our players could have been so slow to react during the game. Last week, when we beat Bury 3-1 we continued to press forward right up to the final whistle - none of this slowing down the game ! What was the Coventry keeper thinking of ? It was minute No.93, you had a 3 goal lead.- not 'clinging on' to a single goal.

Good luck for the rest of your season - don't expect too many teams to be asleep - but you should manage to get yourself out of Division 3. As for ourselves - I don't care if we win, lose or draw - so long as we try ( we didn't yesterday ) -and provided we play fairly.

Thanks - unfortunately my honesty struggles to compensate for my faults - otherwise I'd be perfect.

I haven't bothered to read through all the threads to see where peoples views on Saturday lie, but mine are pretty simple.

We were awful. Why did we line up so narrow on a big pitch when they got wide at every opportunity? Where were our defenders?! Murphy scored 3 goals without having anyone near him, im sure he probably couldn't believe his luck. Apparently we also cannot pass 10 yards without it either going to one of their men or off the pitch, honestly for those who weren't there it was absolutely terrible in a game that was supposed to be a top of the table clash we looked several leagues below Coventry, and for the record i don't actually think they are a better team than Walsall.

I have no idea what happened but for me Tuesday's game is now season defining, so let's see what happens.

The big disappointment for me was the way we set up with the narrow midfield, the way we failed to react when it started to go wrong, the way our captain seemed happy to stroll around or just stand and watch the goals go in.
