That`s very true, all the great managers who have worked with him have been well rewarded with unbelievable amounts of goals.

Until this game Real had scored more and conceded less than Barca. Barca had lost twice Real only once.

As ****in always, Rafa's issue is drawing against teams he should be beating, 3 draws. Only 12 games gone though, and Barca have lost twice already. They will lose again, they are not ultra consistent like Pep's barca, they are prone to a stinker slightly more than "now and then". La Liga race not over yet, another 3 or 4 points onto the gap and it is :D

    Messi's back though!

Benitez was never going to work out at Real. Neither the fans nor the players will ever accept his negative approach to the game which, as you rightly said, costs them points against teams they have to beat to keep pace with Barca.

I know you lot love him for winning you a European Cup but there's a reason why he's despised by most other football fans including fans of clubs he's managed and has success at.

He didn't, 22 players won that cup for them. Milan thought they had done enough and got complacent, Liverpool had nothing to lose and went for it.
Most of their supporters will tell you he completely changed the game at half time with 1 substitution, what they don't realise is that if this is true, he was totally at fault for the inept display in the first half for leaving that player out.

He's left lads, and he was sacked, so get over it. You don't need to keep defending his mediocrity at a club you don't support

And after getting spanked by Bayern in 99 for most of the game and trailing until the dying seconds Fergie is seen as a genius for making substitutions that changed the outcome of the game, yet it was only desperation in reality and by your logic it was due to his ineptitude for not starting the game with the players he brought on near the end.

So he could have saved a lot of tears, nerves and squeaky bums and won the game early on if hadnt been so inept.:emoticon-0103-cool:

I think the general feeling re 99 was that throughout the game we missed Scholes and Keane, the best Central midfield partnership in Europe at the time. We needed a slice of luck to compensate for their absence and we got it. Also we were competing on three fronts, all of which we won which is unprecedented in English football, so the manager had to use the squad. Other than that your comparison is marginally relevant.

Rafa is going to keep his job provided he's there and wins the champion league this season.

Maybe, IF they beat barca in the second Classico and finish like a point behind them AND win the CL MAYBE he will keep his job <laugh>

Real fans expect a CL La Liga double every year.

Guess how many La Liga\CL titles Ronaldo has won in all his time there?

In Short Real have managed 1 title (barca 4) and 1 CL (since even longer) since the start of the 08\09 season. 6 years.

So now that barca are leading, again, as usual, it's all and always was Rafa's fault <laugh>
When Messi got injured, Neymar and Suarez scored 19 goals between them in his stead. <yikes>

I'm not overly worried how an ex manager does at other clubs but the efforts for some to dismiss Rafa's achievements is just a little bit sad.

He won la liga twice without being with the big two (one more than that big ego twat Ronaldo).

Real can keep changing manager every time he has a huff but while they suck up to that twat they will keep on losing out to Barca.

Rafa will keep getting top jobs after he leaves because his record says he can win trophies. He doesn't have to be particularly likeable to do it.

    I agree @DirtyKlopp .

Rafas record speaks for itself. I see far more United fans trying to tear him down (because he is an ex manager of ours) than I do Liverpool fans bigging him up.

While Rafa isn't with us it isn't much of my concern how he does. I dislike Real Madrid as it happens to be.

Rafas a good manager and most neutrals would agree. Its silly to go on trying to make him a target when he has such a good record.
