We were second-best for long periods and the manner of the performance will not convince the doubters (Me included) that manager Monk can stop our club's alarming slide. We should bring in Rodgers even if it is on a Temp basis to steady the ship, Monk needs to drop down to the lower league's to gain experience and develop some tactical skill..........................<ok>

PS: Three months without a home win tells you a very sorry story.

Followed the game on BBC web page - with a Banks beer!

The Banks was the best part - seemed we were second best most of the time.....

    6 points out of a possible 27<yikes>

Liverpool, Leicester and Citeh next three games....

Time for Huw to earn his money...... and protect the value of his shareholding....

Was talking to my mate at the game about Monk's possible replacement. I think the fans would accept Rodgers even though he may not be my first choice. But he'd be ahead of Monk at the moment. Something has to change and fast.

Mate he is clueless, his subs again were just the reverse of what he normally does. He is so predictable, 1 scouting report by an away side could be passed around the whole of the PL for each team to use as he is that predictable.

Even my mate who I go with who is the most positive person I know when it comes to The Swans and managers and performances, said he has to go. I cant believe there was anybody at that ground today who dosent think his time is done.

I also predicted to my mate what I thought Monk's post match comments would be:

We showed great character: "To be 2-0 down, the players showed great bravery and fantastic spirit to get back." CHECK

Blame the crowd: "You could feel that tension, it affected us with the ball and our confidence..." CHECK

    Happy with a draw:
"..A point gained & a result to put us on the road to getting our confidence. Overall we have to be happy with a point." CHECK

Monk - "The Fans Anxiety Affected Us" at least he's not blaming the player this week. but how is it a "point gained" according to Monk, when we are at home playing Bournemouth at the bottom of the table? just don't see it myself...............<ok>.

The crowd were right behind them at the start and through out the game, but they have to give them something back which they didn't, the anxiety in the crowd came from the totally inept performance. I do fear that HJ will not sack him and he will be here for the next 3 games, then it will be to late.

So he's blamed Chris Coleman, players and fans. What's the saying about those at fault are always the last to realise?

Watching Liverpool, we're getting tanked next week. Sad thing is, it might be a good thing if it happens <wah>

No win in ten. Isn't that exactly when Laudrup was sacked?

He could bring on Tremmel for Eder, I suppose...that would be unpredictable. Not really sure what you're expecting him to do with substitutions. What would you have done?

As far as the changes go, Eder was non-existant but didn't get much service. Britton didn't bring anything new to the table. Fernandez distribution out of defence has cost us points this season, but Bartley didn't have a great game. Routledge was average and Montero caused problems when he came on.

Therefore, the team Monk kept picking week after week might well be our best side.

I really can't put my finger on why the performances have dropped so dramatically from last season and the first 4 games of this. Same squad, same manager. Help me out!!

If I was Huw I'd bring in Rodgers even if only as temporary stop gap until the summer, he knows most of the players well, and at least he would get us to keep the ball, and very importantly he's streets ahead of Monk tactically..............<ok>.

Pluses : we didn't lose so we're 5 points from relegation instead of 2 points , squad players got to get a bit of rust off , players finally benched should be hungrier next time out.
That being said , making 3 changes in midfield and up front meant Williams and Fernandez should have started , replacing Fernandez with Bartley under those changes up front is just poor , poor management.
Not replacing Monk after the Norwich game might have been an opportunity lost imo.
Replacing Monk now , or keeping him is pretty well 6 one way , half a dozen the other.
There is obviously 2 sets of rules for managers at Swansea , rules for managers Jenkins likes and rules for managers Jenkins doesn't like .
Personal differences have no place in the Premier League for chairmen .
    JENKINS OUT ....imo

Who put the squad together, who signed the players, who let dyer go. GM. Why not try Ayew up top as he is not a winger, Why not changing the formation at some point in the game and give the opposition something they weren't expecting, Last year he did it with the diamond and changed things around from game to game, this year it is the same thing week in week out, DROSS.
