Oh well. Wish we could've got the win but it sounded like a good game for the most part. Well done lads
Well the positives are scoring goals again ( particularly Murphy, who should be well motivated for the rest of the season with a good chance of going to France next summer as a back up striker) the negatives not hanging on to leads
That was a nice welcome back to the cold!! We played well in short bursts throughout, but the defending for their two goals was woeful. On this performance I think it's going go be a struggle to reach the playoffs.
with Bigal. shocking defending. Didn't create too much but didn't really look under pressure either. AMN has skill but is so lightweight that I would classify him as a luxury rather than a requirement and Im fast beginning to believe that Kundsen is out of his depth. Good to see us use Douglas in a more free to attack role and nice to see Murphy score again. Not so much his finish but the fact he continue to chase a hopeful ball rather than give up. Sears workrate is amazing and he for me has been our standout player so far.
Not overly disappointed, sounded like bad defending/ failure to take chances cost us in the end but can't comment on individual performances. Pleased Murph got on the scoresheet again. Can't we just play all our home games on a Tuesday night? We'd win the Championship easily!
Sorry lads but I have written off the season already! It's turning out to be another boring hard slog that will end up in mid table obscurity.
Johnny, you know it will be the normal ITFC roller coaster ride with us at some stage putting together a decent run giving us false hope interspersed with crap performances.
A good attacking performance with Freddie providing the pace and a bit of trickery but hes not a winger, but the defending was poor for both their goals and Gerks yet again showing his inability to command the 6 yard area. We felt he could have caught or punched the ball when they scored their first goal but stood rooted to his line while the ball floated to an undefended far post, where were you Knudssen? More than once Tommy was shielding the ball waiting for Gerks to come and collect only to have to make a hurried clearance when he realised nothing was going to happen and so gave possession to Wolves, how long must this indecision leading to conceding goals go on ? All in all an entertaining game on a bitterly cold day but more points dropped at home after Town dominated the match.
If I could get Mick to make just one decision it would be to put Bart back in goal. His continued use of Gerken is pissing me off more than anything else.
" Sorry lads but I have written off the season already! " I have read some crap on forums but this is up there with one of the biggest loads of absolute **** I've read in a long long time. We're three points off the play offs after 17 games, with 29 to play, however yes the season is CLEARLY over............. Some of the absolute crap that comes out of peoples mouths at times is absolutely unbelievable. I'm like many disappointed we didn't win yesterday - however by all accounts people seem more upbeat with performances and Murphy is back amongst the goals. Really would have been nice to win and be 9/9 however not to be. Like many not convinced by Gerk's in goal, the defence looks wobbly as hell - but midfield wise seems better with Douglas starting to look a great little signing, Bru playing well, and Skuse, with Niles learning more coming off the bench. We haven't even got the best out of McGoldrick / Bishop to hopefully come back, and Fraser also when back if he can play how he was before injury christ he'll take us to a whole new level. It really makes zero odds if we come 3/4/5/6......... top 2 is clearly not going to happen this time around, however 6th we have a realistic chance. Tighten that bloody defence off, continue the unbeaten 5 game run and yes. Who knows. The top 5 ( perhaps minus Brighton ) so 4 really do look the best in the division by and absolute mile. No way we're catching them. However, we're certainly in the batch with Wendy / Brum / Reading / Cardiff to be the best of the rest.
Christ weighty I don't know after 7 winless games apparently we were in danger of getting relegated by others on here too. Some absolutely ludicrous comments at times.
Same back 5 same ****, what will it take for MM to realise this? Knudsen and Chambers get done time and time again, would much rather Emmanuel and Kenlock!! If i was Bart i would be mighty pissed off also, Gerks is not good enough ffs!!
