julian, it's difficult to have a discussion with people who persistently ignore half of what i write.

at no point did i say that i'm happy with what you suggested. for me, like you and everyone else english, england can never be good enough.

all i'm trying to say is that in the international arena, england are way above average, and therefore not crap or utter toss as they've been described. not good enough i accept, probably boring, but not crap.

England will qualify for every future Euros
Thry will also qualify for most of the world cups in the future
But to be taken hss a force again they must be competing at the sharp end.
We really cant take to much notice of our qualifying group so i will judge them on recent Finals.
    And we are.bang average

i shall bow out at this point, reluctantly accepting that you and glp don't understand the meaning of the word "average", along with certain others.

FFS give it a rest. You're boring. The only people that agree with you have zero credibility with regards to footballing matters.

You are wrong, accept it and move along.

Not long after I posted that, the France thread was locked. It still turned out better.

I was a bit miffed that it was locked, I had been at pub and wanted to reply to a couple of posts. But not the end of the World.

Me too - I wanted to make a reply to a post that had nothing to do with religion.

Yesterday, I had to delete lots of posts that were completely unacceptable and quite frankly I have better things to do than sit on here all continually waiting for posts to delete.

It's also not easy, you delete some of the worst and those posters deleted want to know why you didn't delete the others that were borderline. Everyone knows the rules, yet several posters seem incapable of following them, which is disappointing.

I've sent out several PM's asking people to desist, some have been ignored, some have apologised and some have simply told me to **** off.

I'm trying to be as reasonable and flexible as possible, but some posters really don't make it easy.

Watching England against a major football side is unreal......we just go into the game seemingly confused, tactically inept and scared half to death....we certainly seem to suffer from a major inferiority complex...

do piss off, there's a good arsehole.

i hope you have more sensitivity than to tell the teams that you coach that they are awful, embarrassing and utter dross when they only manage to finish 10th in their divisions.

Most people appreciate your efforts I'm sure but the alternative is to not police it at all. I sometimes think the true ****ing twerps are saved from shame and embarrassment by the Mods.

I was really just explaining why I'd closed the threads, rather than deleting specif posts, as had been suggested earlier in the thread.

The odd bit of grief goes with the territory, it's no big deal, I just thought an explanation might help some better understand the thinking behind the decisions.

i wasn't even talking about football, it was about maths, but if you can't understand even the most basic of concepts at your time in life, it's pointless trying to discuss them with you.

Glad I am not going(Wembley). A sorry state of affairs sadly. Sign of the terrible times we now live in.
