Faugheen's a monster, obviously but tomorrow I'm more interested in seeing how Nichols Canyon gets on.

I see Willie has a runner in the McManus silks sent straight for a Maiden hurdle in Cork's opener, It's odds on though but an interesting recruit no doubt. St Stephens Green sets a decent standard in that race and will prove a good guide to the race. Bleu Et Rouge is the horse.

Mullins talked up Nichols Canyon a lot but I think Faugheen will hammer him.

    Ones to avoid tomorrow

    DRUMLEE SUNSET

    GARDE LA VICTOIRE

    SPRINTER SACRE

    BOUVREUIL

    NEW STREET 15/2 Fontwell 1.15
Yard have been busy stocking up with a better class of animal. Had a nice winner today and this one can carry topweight to victory tomorrow.

Kerrieonvic 12/1 in the Cork 2:30 has a lengthy absence to overcome but if he is ready to roll he could prove a cut above these here. Has a host of 2nds to his name but bumped into some decent types most notably when losing just 0.5 length to Don Poli back in January of 2014. Charles Byrnes was among the winners today which bodes well and If any money comes it could prove ominous. Roger Loughran takes the reigns as Davy Russel still hasn't sorted his paper work out!

Disappointed the Punchestown card entries didn't quite match up to the exciting declarations it had, the lack of the mighty No More Heroes being a notable blow. No doubt he's one for the Drinmore. Sizing John clearly has an easy enough task at odds in his race, hopefully we'll hear the magic three letters from Henry after the race, JLT ;) The Morgiana probably has a better field than in recent years, with even a pair of 100+ rated ex Flat horses in it ;) Nothing's touching Faugheen though, here or anywhere else, but I do think the battle for second could be hard fought. Thats making me think Paddy Powers 15/8 up to & including 5l distance bet is ok. As always in these bets caution is advised but expect Ruby to let him win as easy as he can.

I mentioned on Friday that Neil Mulholland also has the second from the Irish ptp that the machine Shantou Village won. That horse is Fingerontheswitch and he runs at Cheltenham in the 3.15. Straight into handicaps for him, 13/2 seems fair but he is no Shantou Village! He won't need to be to beat this lot.

Talking horse MIN entered on Tuesday I believe. Will be interesting to see have Team Mullins/Ricci got another Supreme winner on there hands. Four in a row's just taking the mick if they had though aint it ;) Mullins had a few stuffed today, Bellshill, Faugheen & co tomorrow should be a good guage as to where there at in terms of fitness for the proper ones. Renneti shouldn't be too far away at Cheltenham, if he agrees to start <laugh>

Anybody staying up for the T20 All Stars game from the, yes,Yankee Dodgers Stadium in LA...drop in pitch looks good..hard but gritty on top.

What a line up from both sides...like the Seniors Tour at Golf except good...Warney and Sachin the respective team caps..say no more!

Bellshill running at Cork. I do love the novices and this could be the best one.

Ground could be so important today and Drumlee Sunset is a proper National Hunt type and that can make the difference today against horses who have been doing their winning on good ground.

Garde LV in the novice chase for the same reasons, and Simply Ned too in the Cheltenham Chase.

The big race is very difficult, if it isn't too bad then Old Guard otherwise I think I will be with the Irish.

I like Brook in the Conditionals race, but only if it's soft enough.

    Tough day again.

    KATTANGA KATTANGA good good people.
although my each way fancies were out with the washing yesterday, not really that perturbed as there were some strange results,in my humble opinion.
hoping to get back on track today in the southern nation at fonty----i am very warey of the v williams horse but SHAMMICK BOY has done me a few favours in the past and if an absence of 200 days isnt too much for this slog ,i think 14s is a good each way flutter.
as for the imposing approach to the festive season gathers pace, presents are very much on peoples mind---never mind buying the usually DANDY ,BEANO ,OOR WULLIE annuals,or even the perennial GUINESS BOOK OF RECORDS------give the kiddies a bit of culture instead----a very nice book of poetry by one of the planets up and coming young bards----------------------------as advertised on a popular social media site

there you go-------believe me---this collection of verse makes the late great william wordsworth look like the proverbial "****house poet"------be inspired, its a corker.
good luck all today----be safe and take care
