Rugby Football Union has confirmed England Rugby head coach Stuart Lancaster has stepped down by mutual consent. please log in to view this image
He was ****ing useless. Picking Burgess and denying a proper Union player a World Cup place was his undoing. Meant playing players out of position and probably caused a bit of unrest.
Hardly surprising at all. 17 November sees the RFU completing its investigation where Lancasters backroom staff, Andy Farrell, Mike Catt and Rowntree will find out their future within the RFU. Once the review has been heard then the search for the next England coach will commence in time for 2016 Six Nations.
The papers down here will suggest Bruce. Why not - about as logical as Fulham. (Looks the part as well! Billy Beaumont after a late night...)
Well after Englands success in the 2003 world cup didn't Sir Clive Woodward go to Southampton under some sort of guise? So yeah SB seems the logical answer.
I would like to think that Robshaw follows him as well in handing back the captaincy, he just hasn`t inspired confidence not only with his decision making, but also his all round play is poor in comparison to the other flankers playing in the world game right now. Bring in Shaun Edwards, had enough time at the top level of the RU game, and will have picked up a load of experience from a great coach in Gatland.
