@tonyfernandes: Much has been said about QPR especially about myself and the owners. A lot of incorrect statements. Will be replying. @tonyfernandes: No one wants to qpr to do well more than myself and the owners. It's sad some of the incorrect statements that's being said. @tonyfernandes: Qpr fans should manage expectations. No club is more transparent than us. Lots and lots been done
I'm still not sure what he's done for us. Lots of posturing about stadiums and training grounds but he took over a newly promoted team with lots of lovely Sky money and four years later has a massively loss-making Championship mid-table club full of huge earners not contributing much.
Thanks Tone, that's cleared everything up. When are these people going to learn that 143 characters, or whatever it is, is not suitable for all communication. No content, just bleating. Until there is a statement to the contrary with the recent developments with loans and shares why shouldn't the fans assume that at least one or more of the owners are seeking an exit? Nothing he said on Twitter would contradict that, and indeed it may be consistent with 'no one wants qpr (sic) to do well more than myself and the owners.' While we are here would be nice to here from co-chairman Rueben and Amit for a change. And not via a ****ing tweet.
Now that is an odd statement "No one wants to qpr to do well more than myself and the owners" Is this just a sign of how he doesn't think what he writes (we are all guilty of that).......or perhaps his mind set no longer thinks himself as an owner....he is off.... (Ok, I am reading too much into that....)
Why the hell can he only communicate in riddles & titbits just as bad 'we've learnt our lessons', 'think I've got my dream manager' bs that we've heard all before, if you want to communicate something just do it, its not that hard ffs.
I've given TF a lot of slack but the last few weeks have been enough for me. I'm sure, as a businessman of the highest order, he can see that building a squad on the cheap, full of potential (but no real experience) that's due to come good with time should not be expected to instantly get promoted even with the few we didn't sell - that's changing the plan part way through. Manage his own expectations first. If it's for the share issue then the obvious question is why do it if all is completely stable and nothing's likely to change - they've been happy to keep the status quo for years.
copy and paste this one Mr Twitter Massive transparent failure I will do the bill as I made a lot of wrong decisions repeatively I am very sorry Laters
Anybody who has spent the money he has spent on my football club gets cut a lot of slack from me. Sure, he's made a lot of mistakes, he knows that. Sure, the present situation looks pretty disorganised. (Strategy? Wot strategy?) But I'd rather have a rich benefactor trying really hard to do well than live through the bankrupt times that over-shadowed the Holloway era.
Phew! I thought I was the only one. I found the tweets reassuring and if TF and 'the owners' (Beth, I think that's just turn of phrase) are still committed to seeing this through then I can wait a while longer.
Try rich harebrained benefactor...of late anyway. I just hope the rumours about bringing in Holloway aren't true. What I wouldn't give for a rich football-astute benefactor who we all think can be a bit of a bar-steward at times, but whose decisions relating the club impress.
I cannot believe how people can turn a tweet so much. TF tweets and says they are doing everything for the club, then some unknown tweeter says he wants out, then the QPR World is falling in! Time for lunch.
QPR hierarchy in Malaysia to discuss new head coach By David McIntyre 09/11/2015 please log in to view this image Les Ferdinand flew to Malaysia on Monday morning to discuss QPR’s search for a new head coach with the club’s owners. Several managers have been touted as possible contenders to replace the sacked Chris Ramsey, including Tim Sherwood and Nigel Pearson. Neither are currently being considered for the job but at this stage it is unclear how much of an input Neil Warnock, who favours Pearson, will have. Former Rangers manager Warnock was placed in interim charge following Ramsey’s exit, is keen to influence the recruitment processand would like a role at Loftus Road similar to the one currently held by director of football Ferdinand. Pearson, a leading contender for the Fulham manager’s job, was sacked by Leicester City in June following a number of run-ins with the Midlands club’s owners, who are friends of QPR’s co-chairmen Ruben Gnanalingam and Tony Fernandes. Sherwood was lined up to replace Harry Redknapp at QPR last year but Fernandes later became reluctant to appoint him and instead pursued Paul Clement, who was then assistant boss at Real Madrid and is now Derby manager, before eventually installing Ramsey. Former Tottenham manager Sherwood is available, having recently been sacked by Aston Villa, but the Rangers hierarchy do not currently regard him as a candidate. http://www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/...d-flies-to-malaysia-for-talks-with-qpr-owners
Can't see Warnock and Sir Les both holding senior advisory type roles. That sounds like a disaster to me. Otherwise I'm glad they are busy finding the next manager.
I don't see the issue why some have such an issue with expectations being raised. After the money spent (hence the £200m debt and £60m written off) I think he's reasonable to expect more than what's been achieved. Managers have let him down, other than Ramsey those weren't bad appointments without hindsight It's Ramsey, Hughes and Redknapp my main anger is with
