Good Morning Everyone, Two wins on the bounce.... That's the kind of thing dreams are made of! What were the differences between the teams? (Don't say 3 goals ) Huddersfield certainly didn't have their striking boots on; had they, the scoreline could have been quite different. Agree? In contrast, when you consider who unlucky we were against Boro who has two shots on target and scored 3 times; is the difference a bit of luck? Who would agree that Silvestri wa our man of the match? Have Leeds played two teams that played poorly, or has something just clicked? Is Wootton our lucky charm, perhaps we should get him stuffed, and mounted? A couple more wins on the trott and we will be in the top half! Phil Hay reported over the weekend that Liam Bridcutt would love to join Leeds on loan, and Evans really wants him. Is it too late? Is he the kind of player we need? Noel Whelan certainly thinks so. He was quoted as saying "He can be a little bit nasty which is nice as we need that."
Morning!! The difference on Saturday was luck and finishing ability. Also our first 2 goals were clear cut chances where the ball went to the byline and came back, Hudders didn't have any chances as clear as that. If Murphy keeps performing we don't need Bridcutt. I did see a rumour on twitter last night that Peter Crouch could be coming to Leeds on loans... Thoughts?
Murphy had a terrible game though, except for Wootton one of the worse players on the pitch imo. having said that I don't think we NEED Bridcutt. He is a very good player at this level but its not where I'd be spending my resources personally
Morning all. Difference in Leeds in the past week was putting away our few chances. Our results will remain patchy as long as we only create three or four chances per game. There will be games where the strikers are off for, missing sitters or hitting woodwork and well likely lose those. As we stand, quality wise, were a mid table outfit that could finish anywhere between 15th and 8th depending on bits of good fortune or perhaps the odd inspired loan signing. One thing Im beginning to believe, Evans is likely to squeeze a little more from this outfit than previous managers with his obvious passion for the job. That is of course, if hes left to do it
I hardly ever speak to my Huddersfield Town supporting mate. I'm not sure he was joking when I rang him at full time singing "i only ring when we're winning" followed by "easy easy, easy" and he told me to fk off He still doesn't get that i'm not bothered about Huddersfield, but it just gives me extra pleasure as i know it hurts them massively to lose to us, at home, and by 3 goals
For the brief time he was on I liked the look of Towns number 29 Phillip Billing. If I was looking for a lad with potential I would like another look at him.
Morning all I've always liked Crouch but he wont work with (IMO) and we wont drop Wood, so is this a non starter?
have never been a big fan of Crouch but he'd be a big nuisance at this level. Currently we don't have other options up front if we consider Doukara is useless and Erwin clearly isn't gonna get a game.
We need to add some goals from corners, free kicks etc and he will certainly cause trouble in and around the box, especially as we have wide men now. I dont think it will happen either way
Good morning toMatt and co from a squally Bardsey I can't believe so much negativism we have just one 2 games on the trot I am looking forward to signing Bridcutt this weekalong with a striker and GK I think Evans is just what we need
M att I was very impressed with n Bonne of Colchester can you show me his goals again from Sat please
Hard to tell just from stats, but he looks like he is just forcing himself into the Colchester team as captain Porter is injured. League one stats below. 2013/14- 14 apps 2 goals 2014//15- 10 apps 1 goal I think his cup goals have a better ratio though, to be fair
