Arrived in Schipol this afternoon and took the train to Sloterdijk, I'm renting an apartment here for one week. I've been out and done a little food shop then headed into the town centre and straight for the Bulldog Coffee Shop. I treated myself to 3 grams of White Widow and 1 gram of Purple Haze. Stayed for a few joints and a couple of latte's before coming back and calling it a day. I've decided to take the train to Arnhem tomorrow and watch their match against AZ Alkmaar, Arnhem have been scoring for fun lately and are in fine form, I think they could hammer these. I'll take some photo's of the day and put them on here when I get home as I've forgot to bring the USB cable for the camera. I'm also planning on going to Amsterdam Zoo on Tuesday or Wednesday so hopefully I can get some canny pictures there too. I know I've not been posting a lot lately but there's been a lot of pressure and stress on me this last month and things have slowly been smashing me down again. I need this break to recharge my batteries and regain my focus for life... Peace
They had a bread eating polar bear last time I was there, nice clean zoo, worth a visit. If you venture further in the dam, look for a little coffee shop called Stix, very nice place, easy to lose a few hours there......with or without company.
Stix has closed now mate. I just stick to the Bulldog or Barneys anyways to be honest, there's also a reggae one I sometimes pop my head into.
Life of Zion? Love Amsterdam. It's got everything! Drugs, drink, sex, architecture. Marvellous really.
I've never heard of it mate. Is that a bar or coffee shop? It's 23:43 over here now so going to have another smoke and then it's off to bed. Goodnight Somb and keep popping your head in to say hello
It's a bit of everything mate. I'm not sure if that's exactly what it's called, it three words and Zion is the last one. Enjoy yourself mate.
That's sad, nice little joint that, whittled away many an hour playing backgammon with some nice smoke.
It's admirable that you have your priorities properly arranged ...... obviously on doctor's orders in your case
Ha! Strange how you notice stuff when you get older. I used to go to the Lakes when I was a young'n and not notice the views at all. Now I think they're breathtaking. Same with archictecture. I often look at places like the Houses of Parliament and think "how the hell did they make that all those years ago". I wonder how long it would take them to build it now? Years behind schedule and billions over estimate likely.
I heard the foreman on Stonehenge was sacked off before they got the roof on and the project was abandoned. I travel a lot more now because there's so much to see, that I somehow missed when I was younger ....... plus I'm running out of time
