No real surprise that the 'overly waxed one' considers himself to be the best in the world (not just nowadays either <laugh>) ...

For me there are some differences between the players in terms of attributes (some of which Ronaldo wins), but overall I prefer Messi - pehaps because he is the closest thing I've seen to Riyad Mahrez <whistle> ...

    Thoughts?

Not sure, I don't think either would get in to our side, because they just don't fit the way we play <whistle>

On a more serious note... It has to be Messi...

I do really feel sorry for Ronaldo... It is clear that he has worked very hard to get to the level he is now (he wasn't always THIS good), but he is getting outshone by some 5ft scrawny little kid who was just born with a natural gift of being able to dribble past players with ease <laugh>

11 Ronaldos would beat 11 Messis.

... possibly ... but then 11 Peter Crouchs would beat 11 Ronaldos with the right tactics <laugh>...

I'd still take Messi over Ronaldo for some of the reasons given by Jack ... natural talent edges fitness and athleticism (and waxing) for me ...

Think at the moment i'd rather be Ronaldo rather than the tiny tax dodger.

Ronaldo for me, he's got that physical presence that Messi doesn't have which makes me think he could probably play in most positions on the football pitch.

I'd have Messi, goal scoring record similar to Ronaldo, but I bet he's got loads more assists. Messi is a lot more humble than Ronaldo, I remember seeing a clip of him having a strop when Bale scored instead of passing to him so he could score, plus he's opened a museum dedicated to himself! Tw@t?

Neither. Both bigged up by the media, yes very talented but whilst Spain has some good teams, it's pretty much like Scotland at the bottom end.

Absolutely no doubt........Messi. Never had the privilege of seeing him live but from what I've seen on TV just a footballing genius. Up there with Junior Lewis, John Ridley, Gregor Stevens and Norman Leet.
