Everything gets conflated these days so I suppose it's normal to feel that way about it tbh. The existence of KIO is an example, shouldn't their focus be all racism not just sports? Sports is probably where the most lesser offences are committed where as the real racism goes on around us and is the actual root of the racism in sports. Conflating football and racism, they are not related, one is a game the other sheer ignorance and irrational anger. Blah blah blah BBF stfu #Ihavenofriends
The way I see it we all take personal responsibility. If I'm not racist, there's a better than good chance that my kids won't be racist. Then their kids won't be racist ........... Whatever the issue, start with yourself and work out. That's how I see KIO, they're starting with their sport, other sports may follow suit until there's zero tolerance in all sport. No organisation will ever cut out racism in society because it starts at home so has to be dealt with at home. The more outside influences like KIO, the better, because it gives kids [and willing adults] a second opportunity to look at themselves and their stance on racism [or whatever] and adjust their thinking, shift paradigms etc.
Chris Ramsey has now been sacked as QPR coach, with Powell having recently gone too, it won't be long before the usual suspect ****tards come out the woodwork to suggest a racial angle.........This makes me ****ing seethe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They were sacked because they are ****!!!! White managers get sacked every day.
I don't have a problem with bad managers getting the sack (black or white). However, It is a little odd there are so few black managers though. The league has been socially open to black players for a longtime now... Some should be trickling through to management by now surely. It does seem odd almost all of them are still white in 2015.
Surely it comes down to individual choices. You can argue the ratio for white to black (or any other ethnicity) isn't right but where are all these black (or other) managers claiming they can't get work? You might be able to name a handful that have made the claim but in the grand scheme of the numbers, its not anything close to what you'd probably expect. Maybe the black guy is cleverer than the white guy and they don't see the job as worth it? I think highlighting it as a issue is a bigger problem than the issue they're trying to raise!
Don't care if it's James Fenian McLean himself. Take himself to the General Chat board if he wants to rub Semtex with Continuity Organised Drug Smugglers and Prostitution Army.
Thanks. I'm an old person now so I need help in such matters. I have the dog to clean my arse after my ablutions though.
There are two main problems - failure as a country to produce any good quality managers and failure to entice black and/or other ethnics into the career [there's plenty of white candidates currently doing badges].
We don't. You asked 'where are all the black managers claiming they can't get work?' I was answering that by stating there aren't many black managers around - they simply aren't going in for it.
Exactly. The opportunity to take the badges is there for all, if people choose not to take it that's their call, their skin colour is irrelevant.
