Hull go top of the Championship. It's not a popular opinion but I do think Allam deserves a lot of credit, he stuck by the manager, kept most of Hull's key players and given them a great chance of going back up. He comes out with some stupid stuff, particularly when trying to change the name of the club but he puts a lot of money in and is generally one of the better chairmen around.
My point wasn't so much that they resisted offers, more that Allam doesn't appear to have wanted to cash in. I'm sure they wouldn't have had much trouble selling players if they wanted to and many chairman have overseen big sell offs after relegation.
The only players that Premier League clubs signed after they were relegated were James Chester (Kvetch Bromich Albion, £8m), James Chester (Norwich, £7m) and Nikica Jelavic (Wet Spam, £3m) - although the real eye-opener considering, how hyped he was in 2010-11, only Derby were willing to sign Tom Ince, albeit for a handsome £4.75m.
Just pulling your leg YV. but Surprised Hudd never joined a premier league club. I like Bruce as a manager, nice guy that made a mistake managing Sunderland.
Over recent weeks I've taken notice of Hull's results, Hudd has been on the bench for most of the games, not sure if he's returned from injury or Bruce just isn't using him, a shame if the latter, he's a damn good footballer.
That's the bizarre part of Hudd. He can be a liability in the championship but a match winner and game changer in the premier league. Perfect squad player for a premier league team and unluckily not to be capped more at international level.
Special mention for BT pulling their finger out of their arse and sorting their bt sport online player for us Linux users. Only took them two years to switch to flash.

Everything logical tells me I want Munich to win tonight. Except this... German champions Bayern Munich have cheekily replied to Tottenham Hotspur on social media, mocking them over the club’s failure to qualify for the Champions League in 2012. On Friday night Bayern drew 0-0 with Eintracht Frankfurt, the first time this season they haven’t won a Bundesliga game, having been victorious on 10/10 occasions. It meant that Spurs’ record of winning their first eleven games of the season under Bill Nicholson still stands, prompting the Spurs Twitter account to tweet out a reminder of this. However, Bayern’s account got their own back by reminding Spurs that by losing to Chelsea in the Champions League final in 2012, Bayern cost Spurs a place in the Champions League for the next season. If anything was gonna make me disown my German heritage (world history and Bonnetti in 1970 aside) it's this!! Bloody Germans - they're impossible to love even when you have to!!
1 nil to the Germans. The goons set to have their usual season of making up the numbers with the odd great result in Europe and failed title challenge.
BT's match coverage is pretty decent overall, but their commentators aren't good enough. Michael Owen's the worst in the game, Owen Hargreaves is nearly as bad and their resident Scousers are generally poor. They need to sort that out as soon as possible. Arsenal really struggling against Bayern tonight. The Germans look very impressive though, to be fair.
Arsenal currently experiencing what Poland and Belgium felt like. If only they had a proper sense of humour and didn't cheat emissions tests,
