I understand all 3 may have needed a rest, Cheri in particular, but not that all 3 who often play in attacking midfield together, all needed to be rested for this same match. Especially when it seems Fer was not considered fit enough to start either.
Yes pathetic and shows he hasnt a clue. We have a team with Austin, Fer, Phillips, Chery, JET, Sandro, Luongo, imo PL or top Championship players yet in the last two games he has set up the team and tactics to SPOIL....FFS we should be taking the game to the opposition. Yes, some of the players have been injured but he has had enough quality at his disposal. It is no surprise with the tactics of humping it against Brentford and the general set up last night that we have not scored. I honestly did not know what was going to happen this year but the last two games shows me he is running scared an reminds me of HR when he lost the plot!!!! I will take defeat on the chin as I have with QPR for many years but with the above we should be losing 4-3 not trying o get a 0-0 and as soon as the opposition gets one we are f******. Warnock in for interim me thinks....
I do understand what you are saying, however, as I have just posted on another thread he has Austin, Fer, Phillips, Sandro, Chery, Luongo, JET as his disposal and plays to spoil and hasnt a clue about tactics.. Those players arent doing it under him as they are played out of position or he just does not give them confidence with no regular team starting. We should be taking games to teams with those attacking options not trying for 0-0 draws. I think most fans would just like to see the team playing to its potential...is that too much to ask?!
In the army your taught to advance into contact. By pushing hard it throws your enemy off balance and can be the decisive thing that creates a victory. (Not trying to be dramatic but it is the best comparison I can think of.) We have (on paper) one of the best attacking squads in the division but Ramsey is clipping their wings. There is also the moral factor at play. By saying we mustn't concede, it puts our players in a negative mindset and adds to the feeling of despair when we let goals in. Downward spiral then gets worse. It's man management skills and tactical nouse he lacks. I'm sure he's trying but it feels like he's way out of his depth. Bit like a fresh faced 2nd Lieutenant just out of Sandhurst being put in charge of a brigade of Para's and dropping them into the middle of IS in Syria. Very soon the senior NCO's will notice the lack of experience and moral plummets like a lead balloon.
Ramsey has decided to adopt the Redknapp strategy of ignoring youngsters, selecting favoured players irrespective of form, and setting out for 0-0 draws with no clue as to what to do when we concede.
I can see DT's line of thinking, and it's true that immediate promotion is perhaps unrealistic given the extreme turnover in players and management we've experienced in recent years. However, when you've paid your money as a fan, and traveled to some of these holes of away grounds in this league, you're fully entitled to be fickle and express your displeasure. A bare minimum is to see your team have a certain way of playing the game. Chris and Les have come from Spurs, where we all know they play the game on the floor and attack teams at pace. We've seen none of this implemented at QPR or even any signs of it! I believe we'd all accept a season of consolidation if we saw some evidence of how it's going to progress next season. All Chris has to do, is understand 2 formations which we play the best under and recruit players to fill those positions. Of our current squad, I'd suggest perhaps 10 of them I'd be looking at building the nucleus of the team around. It's paramount we bring in some pace up front and especially out wide to make us more of a threat on the counter.
It's such a bad situation when I speak to many fans who want us to lose so he will be sacked. That has to be the point when they say enough is enough. Maybe they were going to sack him today but got beaten by the other Chris.
But a few games ago we were letting in loads of goals. He had to stop that. Credit to CR he did when he brought Clint back in. Think now we have let in just 2 in 4 games which is a big improvement, and last night Clint was out. But this has been done at the expense of scoring. Basically we have a sh*te back 4 who need a lot of protection. He''s got to find a decent balance. Hope he tries Luongo further back with Ale or Toscer - they may not be the best 2 defensively in front of the back 4, but hopefully they got enough to give some protection to the 4, plus the legs in Luongo and passing ability to get us playing on the deck through midfield and scoring again.
You've started two separate threads stating the same thing. Both on Ramsey and both with the same content. What the hell is going on? Merged.
There have been too many CR threads over the last 48 hours, which are all expressing the same sentiment. Any further threads that don't offer anything different will also find itself in the Chris Ramsey slush pile.
