That's fine - my opinion is that he's scared of using young players unless there is literally no other option, as he's proving again tonight. We're allowed to disagree with his decision whether you like it or not - otherwise what's the point in coming on here?
I'm pretty sure at various points in our history SB has preferred having six subs to putting a youth player on the bench. In the words of OMC, how bizarre.
Never said there were nowt wrong with disagreeing, when there's good reason for it. IMO, based on how we've played recently and results, there is no good reason for it.
I'm fairly confident he did that against Sheffield Wednesday in the last promotion season when there were young lads around.
There was one instance (could've been that game) that we had an U18s game the same day and the development squad were away somewhere up north.
But the young lads then just werent up to it. Luers on the fringes, he should be on the bench i agree.
To be fair I've just checked the bench and it had Cooper, Oxley & Townsend on it, there were only 6 on there though so that's come from somewhere deep within my memory. Luer hasn't let anyone down whenever he's been selected so I'd like to see him get more game time anyway. Let's hope it isn't an issue.
I can't believe fans are not allowed an opinion on their club on a forum about their club. I trust Brucey, but I would have Luer on the bench. He at least gives us a striking option, and I sincerely doubt we need both Maguire and Taylor on the bench. I really hope I am proved wrong and we hammer Brentford 4-0.
