Papers today having been linking Harry with possible moves to Bayern or Manchester.

So far young Harry has been adamant that he has no intention of leaving Spurs in the short to medium term, and the club has been equally forceful in its claims that he is not for sale.

Could DL's head be turned though if a bod came in that would enable us to pick up two new strikers and pocket a packet on top ?

Alli is off to psg too...that rumour along with the kane ones are all according to ****ers with too much time on their hands, too much alchol down their necks and no sense of reality...or sports journalists, as they prefer to be called.

Of course it could. Every player has his price. Thing is that, in DL's eyes the price for our best players is always something very, very high.

There is zero chance of us selling in January and frankly if Kane plays well enough in the second half of the season for the likes of Bayern to want him then I would genuinely expect nothing to happen unless the fee is somewhere around or beyond the world record mark.

That's not to say that I have any time for these rumours, by the way. They're dot-to-dot bollocks from journalists. But of course if Kane remains uninjured and plays to his potential over the next season and a half it is only realistic to expect the very best clubs in Europe to come sniffing around. And in that situation I think they would know that Spurs only sell players of his class for absolute top, top money. That's if Kane himself wants to go.

Basically worrying that our players might be good enough for teams like Real or Bayern to make a bid is the sort of problem I want Spurs to have and so am not too worried about it.

I think Utd will end up with Mané and I would hope that Harry is sensible enough to realise its maybe 2 years too early for him to chance his arm abroad.

The "fact" a sensible club like Bayern might be interested at this point in time is frankly laughable.

I think he'll still be a spurs player next season regardless of our final position this year. I think his barren spell has taught him that he still has a lot to learn - and the way that the club and Poch stood by him through it will mean a lot to him.

My more immediate concern is holding on to Hugo and Eriksen, both of whom I think will be gone if we don't make the CL.

Are these the same hacks that were linking Vardy to Real Madrid last week? Says it all really......

Who's the latest striker to score a few goals.... Mmmmm...... I've heard that Barcelona are interested in Everton's Kone. <whistle>

Just check out how many of the reports in newspapers running up to transfer windows have been accurate.

    OK done that?

    Good! shall we move on?

It's almost certainly 99% red top bollocks! Just like Real want Vardy. Usual join the dots up lazy journalism!

That doesn't mean that Kane might not eventually leave. But this year, at the very least, he's going nowhere, IMO.

Not a chance. Kane would have to force the move and all we've seen from him so far on the pitch and off the pitch in interviews is 100% commitment to the club. One day that may change but it doesn't appear to be on the horizon at the moment.

No doubt Kane will eventually go if the club is continually caught in the plateau
that led to Modric and Bale leaving.

But the good thing about Levy of late is that Kane won't be going to a PL rival,
and the buying club will get their wallets absolutely rinsed.

I can't see Kane leaving for at least another 3-4 years and if I'm honest I maintain a hope that he may just be our next one club man, maybe I'm being overly optimistic but there's a different feel about him compared to Berba, Bale and Modric. Those guys were never "one of our own", Kane came through our academy to become the club's poster boy and I think he's loving that, he's also playing alongside some of his good friends in Mason, Carroll and Andros and I think that homely feeling is something he along with the others enjoy.

As others have also mentioned, Levy isn't in the business of selling to domestic rivals these days while he also ensures whoever does want our key players have to pay a price beyond premium plus a Levy bonus so it's highly unlikely he'll be leaving, besides can anyone honestly see Harry wanting to venture abroad any time soon and learn a new lingo? I can't.
He's got a very good thing here, he's the main man at a top club at a very young age after coming through it's academy and is also seen as the country's brightest prospect, I don't think he'd want to risk going anywhere and possibly jeopardising his growing reputation.

Thanks for the ITK. Maybe we'll use that money to pick off a few of bottom half Liverpool's best players, although saying that, our bench places are pretty full, not sure there'd be much point.

Look you're obviously on a WUM, but I'm surprised that a Liverpool fan has such a high opinion of United. I've seen nothing from them in 3 years that suggests they'll be regularly winning silverware any time soon; nor is there any guarantee that they'll finish above Spurs or even yourselves this season.

    Really ??
Man Utd wear red. And have consistently won the league for nigh on two decades.

Can there be a team any more appropriate for a supporter of 1990pool to cling to ??

Shearer, Le Tissier, Hirst, Lineker...... Anderton. Players that said no to bigger clubs, bigger wage, great managers.

It's perfectly possible Kane could stay for many, many years, but it's also possible if by age 25 , we're still bouncing between 5th and 6th, a more exciting opportunity will lead Kane to move, especially if he becomes successful at international tournaments.

Not forgetting Terry Paine and his fantastic service to Southampton.

  20. We have some cracking players, many of whom are easily good enough to play CL football. If we want to guarantee keeping those players, we have to get CL football. It really is that simple.

If we don't get CL football, and a club (or clubs) come along that have CL football, there is going to be a risk that the player's head will be turned, leading to type of ugliness that we've seen time and time again with Levy (eg. Bertabtov, Modric, etc).

Harry Kane has said that he wants to stay and become a Spurs legend. It is unusual for a player to say something like that. That gives me hope that we'll keep him.

We also need to keep Alli and Son, and Eriksen. These three players are looking real class. But, then, so are Dier, Mason, Bentaleb, and Rose.

It's a great squad - undoutbedly the best we've had for years - and it so young!
