Unsurprisingly, rumours regarding Mahrez have started to surface too, being linked with Man Utd in the Daily Mail. Why would he want to go to a team below us in the league though? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...gerian-shine-Leicester-victory-West-Brom.html
Step down for him They certainly need wingers, lets hope we can get a huge chunk of money for him though, wherever he goes.
... he's happy here ... the club won't willingly sell ... given his current contract a move would have to be contrived by either Riyad himself or his agent ... he seems quite a humble lad and currently loving his time playing in this side ... as such I can't see him throwing his toys if the club were to refuse to sell ... so I'll put my neck on the block and say that I'm optimistic that, despite all the interest, he may well stay another full season with us...
Why would he leave if you are in the Champions League? I'd have thought your owners would be looking to improve the squad further with a substantial investment in January. Ranieri is a quality manager and could attract some very useful players.
cheers Horsham! ... not sure if you are taking the mickey but it made me smile ... 40 points is all I'm aiming for ... anything after that is a complete bonus ...
Who would have said that Vardy would score in 8 consecutive PL games? Who would have said that you could get 43 points out of your last 20 PL games? Dare to dream as they say. I'd like to see some unfashionable clubs break into the elite places.
Feels a bit of a strange position to have all of our players suddenly the subject of speculation, how many players have left Leicester for bigger clubs since our last spell in the big time? Can't think of many.
.. of more relevance is our owners ambition to challenge for Europe ove a 5 year plan - selling your best players won't get us there - indeed it may put our very survival in jeopardy - hence my (perhaps fragile ) confidence that we won't be selling anybody ... simply because we don't need to in order to balance the books - LCFC has never been in this position before ...
Selling Vardy and Mahrez would be like Villa selling Benteke and Delph. Didn't work out too well for them ...
Difference is the owners. Lerner seems to have no ambition other than to keep Villa in the PL while also trying to make some money selling their star players. It's a tough balancing act!
