Is probably the correct answer. We may well need the points so logic dictates you follow a proven method. 7 up.
Allardyce will probably lose a few games and the dogs will be out. Or rather, the SoS will start to empty circa 44th minute as per usual.
Last week proved times have changed and officials saved their arse but for the first time in a long time I know we will beat them at home and it will be the last derby for a while when they go down.
The previous 5 times they have beaten us they were largely the better side on the day. Times have changed. Last week it was dodgy officiating that handed them the win. Our players will be more fired up than ever. Winning six in a row means absolute **** all in the grand scheme of things. It's bragging rights and nothing more. Come March, we will reclaim those rights and our noisy neighbours will hopefully be on their way to the Championship.
Hopefully with a win against Bournemouth on Sat and then a Makem loss soon after, we will be out of the R zone, leaving them firmly behind. Judging on our last three games, Norwich, Sunderland & Stoke, im pretty optimistic. Norwich was class, Sunderland we were robbed and it was only Butland that stopped us getting 3 points on Sat. Personally I think we will start to climb soon, Im looking at Palace atm who everyone seems to love, and if they loose to Liverpool, and we get 3 points, we are only 6 points behind them and they are 10th. Give it 6-8 weeks and hopefully we can forget this awful start!
Palace are falling away after a good start. They have been found out already. I can see us going on a run. We need to sort out the keeper issue though if it is true about Elliott.
I believe if we had taken our early chances last week I really believe it would have been 4 or 5. They go on about this 6 in a row but considering we have been in crisis for 5 years and at one of our lowest we still continue to finish above them every season. But before long their little record will be as distant as them only winning 5 derbies in over 20 years
6 in a row - From 1980 - 2008 they didn't win a single derby on Wearside. That record makes six in a row look laughable. Their little run is at an end.
well a thread like this only proves you guys are still hurting. least we can score could have been 6-6 draw in my book
turning up is no good you have to score goals to win games. try hitting the ball either side of the keeper not stright at him.
We do need to stop going on about the derby lads, it's over and done with and we lost. We were unlucky but it's still a defeat. Our last 3 performances have been encouraging but we have to start turning performances in to points. A win on Saturday and suddenly we have a winnable game at home to Leicester followed by a trip to out of form Palace. Bournemouth are depleted with injuries, anything but a win there is inexcusable. Should we lose then all of a sudden it's the in form foxes with Vardy on fire. Saturday really could shape our season, performance wise we look as good as anyone outside the top 7-8 but points wise we are 3rd bottom with one win in elven and the league table never lies.
Look at their next 9 fixtures, Sunderland wont get more than 2 points max, plus notice the Home/Away H-A-H-A-H-A-A Ha ha haaa! Even the fixtures are laughing at them!
