Too many people happy to accept mediocrity!! That game sounded as dull as.........We are far too pedestrian, tactics are poor, as is team selection. still as long as we dont go down, then it doesn't matter and many will be suitably happy!!

Dull, dull, dull, dull, dull, zzzz
Murphy had two decent chances which an inform confident striker would have taken first time. Murphy tried to stop, cut inside and was too ponderous in the end.
The game for me was summed up by something that happened in the 3rd or 4th minute. Cardiff started with confidence and was putting us under pressure within 14 seconds. After about 3 minutes their player over hit a cross from a wide area. The ball went all the way over the area and was rolling towards the other side of the pitch. Chambers without a Cardiff player within sight lets the ball roll out for a throw in rather than taking it under control and putting us on the front foot. A throw in. Cardiff allowed to push up and no opening for Town. Sears again was the only real attacking threat. it had a feel of a 0-0.
we are the definition of safe. We are never going to offend but instantly forgettable. One sears turn and run on the 25 minute mark was the only splash of colour on the very beige colour chart of our performance.

The question is, unless things change, (which won't happen unless there's a managerial or owner change), who really believes that we will gain promotion this season?

If Ipswich Town was a film it would be Ground Hog Day!

Every fricking year is the same! We are the most patient set of fans in the country to put up with the same mediocre ****e season after season. I have stopped going! My son has just passed his driving test and is now itching to get a season ticket. Poor fecker he will soon learn!

Wasn't at the game so can't comment on the performance, but looking at that starting lineup it's about the most attacking we can expect from Mick, given who's available and still we can't score.Any news on when Bhipop's likely to be ready again?

Mick will never publicly criticize a display, especially when we've kept a clean sheet. Over recent weeks the defense has been awful and according to the reports I've read Marshall put in some excellent saves to keep us out. It's not moving the goal posts as such, its a recognition that although we didn't win the team did everything he asked (presumably) bar getting the goal. It would be counter productive to publicly criticize a team already low on confidence. I'm sure the coaching staff are painfully aware that there is a severe lack of goals from the strikers. It's just that defense will always be Micks priority.

if that was a performance of us giving everything MM wanted then we have problems. It was safe and uninventive. It was just a nothing performance. Nothing overly bad but nothing positive either.
On the out of form strikers I would say we had one who was bang on form in Sears except we keep shifting him around the pitch to try to keep other less effective players into the team.
we also cant get too excited by a clean sheet against a team who cant score.
A clean sheet and another point is nothing to get too annoyed about but it was hardly a sign of improvement in my opinion.

" That twat Mcarfy thought the performance was fantastic, OMFGG!! "

Jesus christ we've been through this one time ten times one hundred times he keeps everything internal. We're not TWTD here we're actually all semi intelligent and can conjure some intelligent debate.

I did see the " highlights " though and that appeared short! I'll read a match report later and see what the general consensus is.
