Had to giggle when the dizzy blonde on Football League Tonight said both teams only had one shot on target yesterday.
FL Tonight is garbage. Begrudgingly watched it upto City's goals this morning. I liked how they took time to mention Boro and Sheff Wed winning against PL teams midweek, but glossed over it with us. Of course they did have harder opposition, but we still played one of the form teams in the PL and won. I did find it funny how they said "after the break, we'll be looking at the top of the table", only to then spend 10 minutes going on about Leeds vs Blackburn.
It's absolutely dire. I have given up on it, the viewing figures since it moved to C5 must have halved at least. Someone needs to come up with a better highlights show with better presenters and in a more appropriate format.
I gave up totally on it after the very first show. Anyone that comes up with complete and utter ****e like that has absolutely no chance of ever getting it to a stage whereby I'm even mildly interested in what they have to say. Channel 5 football production = complete ****s, and not in a good way.
You can get better & go straight to City's games on YouTube! I watched it last night but only because there's **** all else on!
We didn't get on until after a further ad break. At least with the football league show they generally worked through the teams by league placing.
Gave up watching it after the first episode, wonder how they will handle it if we go up, " a city in the north of England was today promoted to the PL"
It'll be on last after they've covered mid table nothing happened games, relegated teams who shocked a draw against Derby or Boro!
The first episode was episode was a train wreck. One of the worst things I've seen. But to be fair, they listened to the criticism and dropped some of the worst offending ****. It's just about watchable now.
poor presenters, poor so called `experts` and tbh I tend not to listen to the shyte they spout, I watch it to catch our goals and so called highlights, in all honesty I`m quite happy that they see Boro as the favourites to win the league, be so much more satisfying when they don`t and we do !
In 2012/13 promotion season it was all about Cardiff (rightly so they won it), Leicester (who faded badly) and Zola's Watford. We hardly got a mention all season and snuck under the radar. Won't bother me if we get similar poor coverage...
We beat the team that's third in the PL. they ain't there by luck. But I guess they get as little acknowledgement as us. Nowt new. Still don't care.
If we changed our name to Hull City Tigers on Benefits C5 would have us top of the running list, terrible TV station not just for sports but everything else
