I will be patient with Milner as I have seen an on song Milner give us problems. City set up differently and he has not been helped by Rodgers playing him in midfield then being moved out wide by Klopp. He has not fully struck up a partnership with Clyne like he did with Zaballeta but with time he will get better.

On a different note. I heard Ruud Gullit on MOTD saying how Terry (I think) had had to tell Drogba to stop falling over and moaning and just get on with the game.
Can't say I ever noticed the difference.

Couple of weeks ago he said, we are lucky to have any point. If not because of his son Jamie I will kick him.

Saw the Chelsea goal again. Moreno should be doing more, Ramires ran from midfield, unchallenged - either Can or Lucas should tracking the runner.

Moreno got so much stick but the underlying issues for me are that Milner should be stopping the cross and midfield should be tracking the runners.

But whatever happens earlier in the move, Moreno can't just stand and watch as someone comes in for a header. I haven't watched it over and over, but I just have the image of him standing there without challenging.
I think Moreno offers a lot going forward, but I don't like him as FB. Not so far, anyway- let's see what the new coaching regime can make of him.

Moreno has tenacity, pace and aggression which will aid him, I'm sure Klopp can develop the tactical side of his game. Still very raw, he'll be a good player for us I'm sure of it.

Agree he should be doing better but when he's static and you have a powerful runner running into the box, it's always going to be hard to stop him. Which is why we need to work on cutting out the source.

Moreno has been one of our best players since Klopp arrived. He'll only get better. Still our best left back

Trying to think who was my MOTM - I know Coutinho will grab the headlines but he was really poor in the first half.

Sakho was imperious once more so he gets my vote.

Lucas gets it for me, we look an incredibly better team with him in it. Very underrated passer of the ball, kept us ticking along and really broke up the play well, though was arguably fortunate to stay on the pitch.

    Wait until Greez sees that.

I'm not really disagreeing with you, just discussing it.
The only thing Moreno can do is make a challenge. If he stands in the way and blocks his path he risks giving away a penalty, he has to at least attempt a legitimate challenge to put the attacker off and get away with it.
It was only Ramires anyway- he's only about 6 stone dripping wet.

Yep not disputing that - he can still do more. Sloppy all round. Thankfully it didn't cost us.

Morenos body shape was all wrong.

I dont think hunk it was his man, it was a midfield runner al someone should be either tracking that run or passing him on, neither of which seemed to happen.

Moreno should be square on though so he an see anything coming in, instead he was closed off and was ball watching, meant couldn't see anything from side on and Ramires came in on his blind side.

Lots of things to improve on in that goal.

Do you think Klopp swears behind the scenes ... in training, in his team talks, in the dressing room ??

Our defence is slowly improving - at least there is some light at the end of a tunnel which we've been in for probably 4 years.

Clyne looks the business. Sakho is making CB his own.

Skrts is a funny player. On form and high in confidence he is very good. When he isn't he's woeful and makes loads of mistakes.

I think Klopp may be looking to replace him in the forthcoming year but will keep him for the time being.

    Moreno is an unknown.

2/4 of the back four looks solid and one is a good stop gap.

  20. Moreno (and Clyne) have been good but they'll have to step it up once Flanno is back. Especially once Klopp's had time and a transfer windows too #4231 #flannobetterdefensively
