Warning. This is a pointless rant about modern technology. Don't waste your time reading it. I only wrote it to get it off my chest. Bloody computers. For no apparent reason, my mouse goes tits up. I change the battery in the mouse-nothing. I take out the radio receiver and put it back in- nothing. I take out the receiver and put it into another port-nothing. My touch pad still works so I open device manager. It tells me that for some inexplicable reason I have three meeces installed ( I haven't) and that they're all working properly (they're [it's] not). What's the point of device manager when it tells you everything's working when it clearly ****ing isn't? I open power options and select restart. My screen goes black during the restart for longer than I'd expect, but I'm guessing the OS is trying to resolve a glitch that caused the problem in the first place, so I wait for a bit. No life for nearly four minutes, so I think "**** it" and do a hard reboot. Now it works again, with the old battery back in. 15 more minutes of my life wasted for no good reason Bloody computers. #realproblems #classic
For future reference. Unplug the ****er and plug it back in again. If this fails then poor coffee in it and claim on the house insurance #itexpert #thecureall
It's ok Dribs, thanks- I've fixed it. Nothing a little fine-tuning with a 10lb lump hammer won't cure.
Saint, Have you tried not wrapping the cables around yourself? That's what this girl did wrong. please log in to view this image
