All I'm saying valley is we may have not heard the last of the Laudrup sacking , we may have , but we may not have. I wonder if there was someone around at the time who knew the gambling scene and kinda knew Laudrup was probably getting sacked .....maybe we should ask dai....lol
Laudrup wanted an extra million when monk kept us up. He threatened court and jinx basically told im in lay mans terms to Fcuk off. Laudrup ran away with his tail between his legs and never did a thing. We paid his contract up of just over a million quid and that is it done and dusted.......
By Monk keeping us up , do you mean when he took over and had a healthy team , Bony all primed and ready to go , easier fixtures after the horror Laudrup went through at Christmas with injuries galore and with 3 games left Monk had us 4 points from relegation . I certainly don't blame Monk , he was thrown into the deep end .If not for the 3 games remaining against teams either relegated , or the game didn't matter , we might have been infor a roller coaster ride down to the final game. Jenkins figured he could change managers and we should have no problems staying , I'm sure he didn't think it would be that close though
Kept us in the fifth round of the FA Cup , got us in the the next round of Europa , finally had a healthy team after Christmas ready to take on all comers . , in all cometitions .who says he didn't have results .If not for injuries from the Norwich game where 3 regulars went down to add to the list , when we were on track for a 47 point season , the hectic schedule might not have been so hectic. if Laudrup was in charge from Cardiff on , we would be nowhere near 4 points from relegation with 3 to play ...And who knows how much farther we would have gone in the Cups with serious teams being picked
Listen , I don't want to dredge up all wounds .My interest in this has little to do with Monk or Laudrup , only Huw. Laudrup certainly wasn't perfect , one only has to look at the loaning out of Ki to see that.. I'd have no probs with you closing this thread valley , I've had my say , and all I want to do is cheer Monk and the team to good times.
No need for it to close roof. There's no insults, deliberate antagonising etc in here that warrants it closed
Monk You have proof of this allegation,of course? Thought not. Laudrup received a lot more than £1 million. I have contacts as well. "with his tail between his legs". Further proof of your ignorance.
If I had produced this post, there would have been an uproar. Accusations of "antagonism" would have flooded the thread. It would have then been closed "for obvious reasons",by a trigger happy mod.
You've closed numerous threads of mine, for far less,so why so reluctant? Not getting soft, are you? "There's no insults". So,who decides when a post is insulting? What qualifies as an insult? A few days ago,I was seriously insulted, yet no comment from you. Why? "Deliberate antagonising". Who decides when someone is doing this? There are quite a number of regular posters who are unable to handle differing points of view. So,are THEY being "antagonised"? I was accused of this by one numpty recently, yet you were nowhere to be seen. Why? "Etc." Hmm,not sure how to respond to that one,so I will leave it hanging. There is little,or no,consistency on display when it comes to modding on here. If a poster is seen to be one of the gang/mob,then virtually anything goes. However, heaven help those, like me,who have no interest in being a gang/mob member.
I was just trying to make points about my thoughts about Huw in which both managers are basically a sub plot. All your Laudrup posts are a plot to antagonize , over and over.....one of the reasons I wanted to close this thread was I was expecting these last few posts , like the noon train. If you mentioned Laudrup once a month vetch , no one would care but you are infatuated with the dull roar of Laudrup mentions, but it is your right I suppose
Oh dear, more rubbish to deal with, but I'm going out so I will leave it for the rest of the mob to agree with you.
I think Laudrup was best manager we ever had , I agree with a lot of what you say on the subject vetch.I was one of the first to go on the war path when he was axed......but it's been Two years vetch , let's figure out what's up with our club today and move on .I would have never brought up Laudrups name unless it had something to do with a different point that he's part of .If you did the same , no one would frown upon it .
I thought Laudrup could have been a good manager if he had given the club his 100% attention but the fact is he never and he lost all respect from the players and staff at the club.......He looked like a zombie on match days with no encouragement whatsoever from the side line and he looked as if he did not care what happened. You cant act like that in front of your players as they needed his support and direction...there was nothing and that was the wrong thing to do especially as we were losing and dropping like a stone, He had no control of his players as he would regularly not turn up at the club let alone training and that led to unrest throughout the whole club. He never knew anything about Swansea before he came but he never showed that he wanted to by his actions.......we were not a big club enough for him to give us the 100% respect we deserved. Could he have been a good manager?......yes or the very least maybe. Did his club management skills let himself down? ...Most certainly it did.....and sadly it was noticed by the really big clubs who was looking at how he handled a top division club and they have crossed them off their list as a potential manager for them.......Nobody really hates him just hate the way he was running the club and he had to go for the sake of the club......He blew his chance big time because he thought he was more important at the club like the way he was one of the best players in the world and the reality was he was not a good manager at all...but a fantastic player all the same...
"I thought Laudrup could have been a good manager if he had given the club his 100% attention but the fact is he never and he lost all respect from the players and staff at the club" - Dai Hit the nail here Dai, he was a man clearly passing through with little interest after the cup win............... This thread is fast turning into the Laudrop appreciation society..............
No comment except to say I don't defend Laudrup any more , there was never really anything to defend .Sign me " An Unfinished season "
Let's get one thing straight, most of the time,Laudrup's name,or a derogatory version of same,is raised by others,in particular "the odd couple". They heap insults, and abuse on him. Being a fair minded individuaI,I take it upon myself to challenge/dispute their comments, sort of levelling the playing field. I did the same for Martinez, and Rodgers. I will probably do the same for Monk when he has gone to Madrid,or wherever the fancy takes him.For rest assured, his adoring public won't be so adoring then. You have accused me of being infatuated with Laudrup, yet you can't seem to avoid writing about him for whatever reason. I'm impervious to the people here who "frown" on me,since I do not hold them,or their comments in any kind of esteem. There are some here who find my posts, often quoting the media, to be "antagonising",and "bullshit",long may that continue.
