More disappointing because we played just 3 days ago and the boring storyline though... some LFC players used to be Southampton players :emoticon-0113-sleep

Koeman said "they should be beating teams like us" at our own place after the draw at Anfield, I would just love it, love it if we beat them :bandit:

Avoiding City is pointless since Hull aren't going to knock them out for us anyway

Maybe next round someone who can #cupset

"Rooney hasn't played well for three years now. Sir Alex was absolutely right to try and ease Rooney out of the club when Sir Alex himself left, Rooney was already half the player he was. The worst thing Moyes did to United was to ignore Sir Alex and offer Rooney that insanely enormous contract.
    Tim, Devon."

What the **** revisionism is this? It was Fergie who begged him to stay and gave him a massive pay rise.

What arrogance? In cups you plan for the best because if you don't win the next game you're out, there's no way back, and there's **** all to be said about it. Especially the league cup that doesn't even have replays.

Middlesbrough win over Man Utd was 'lucky', claims Van Gaal

Middlesbrough's League Cup penalty win over Manchester United was "lucky", says Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal.
United lost 3-1 in the shootout after a goalless 120 minutes at Old Trafford.
"It is more like the casino, red or black," Van Gaal said.

Is that what he said at the world cup?

The term "knocking them out for us" smacks of arrogance. Nowt to do with planning, all to do with assumption. You could quite as easily go out yo Southampton as you would to City. You're getting ahead of yourself whichever way you look at it.

If the BBC had come out with that you'd be writing a letter of complaint to the Director General <laugh>

Actually in #context I was pointing out that the idea that we'd got a good draw by avoiding City didn't mean much since Hull are unlikely to knock them out so we will have to face them anyway if going all the way

Of course if we go out to Southampton there's no reason to worry about City anyway

In another post I also claimed that our fixture was the one with the least certain outcome

    #fail
