Best Driver: Jenson Button - Many great drives, but Jenson gets it for having such a great race despite using the old-spec engine.
Worst Driver: Nico Hulkenberg / Kimi Raikkonen / Danil Kvyat. - The "i had a great opportunity then binned it crew"
    Best Rookie: Max Verstappen
    Best Team: Force India
    Worst Team: Sauber
Best Overtake: Button on Sainz and Ricciardo

Most Surprising Result: Those laps where McLaren were running 5th and 6th.
Least Surprising Result: Hamilton won after Rosberg bottles it.
Funniest moment: Raikkonen's escape from the barrier.
    Excuse of the week: N/A

Special Mention: Ricciardo, sad to watch him slide back. Spectacular in the wet.

This has many similarities with the above post from Julius

    Best Driver: Button.
Worst Driver: Räikkönen and Hulkenberg, jointly.
    Best Rookie: Verstappen
    Best Team: Mercedes
    Worst Team: Sauber
Best Overtake: Sainz on Button (yes, I've not got this the wrong way around!). I also thought about Button's double (which I quietly celebrated): it was opportunism at its best but it really fell into his hands.

Most Surprising Result: Maldonado. He kept it on the black stuff and didn't draw attention to himself.
Least Surprising Result: This may sound harsh but I have to say it: Rosberg not keeping his head together, despite being the quickest driver. (I believe he was slightly the quicker of the two Mercedes drivers, having engineered a well educated-guess at set-up).
Funniest moment: Räikkönen trying to cover himself in a barrier that just would not fall down.
Excuse of the week: I'm still waiting to hear what Rosberg has to say for himself…

Special Mention: Hamilton. World Champion again and thoroughly deserved.
Best post from the race thread: Pie's ""Rosberg should get a job at Harrods for christmas. Excellent gift wrapping skills".
Race Rating: 10/10 Asking for anything more is simply not realistic. For the non-biased observer, surely this race had everything.

I'll skip most of the categories, simply because they're rarely objective... but I have to drop the following simply because we rarely get a classic anymore.

Race Rating: 10/10 - This race optimised F1. Truly marvelous.

Best Driver: Button for me, was the best driver on the day, but over the full weekend I'd say Perez just shades it from Vettel, very impressive season he's having (Perez that is, though it applies to Vettel and Button too)
Worst Driver: Raikkonen - binned it two races in a row now
    Best Rookie: Verstappen
    Best Team: Mercedes
Worst Team: Double retirement from Williams
    Best Overtake: Rosberg on Hamilton

Most Surprising Result: Seeing Kvyat all over Hamilton early on
Least Surprising Result: Mercedes going on to dominate
Funniest moment: Raikkonen's escape (reminded me of his detour in Brazil three years ago), Nico throwing his hat at Lewis (would've been more symbolic had it been a towel), Arrivabene's OTT celebrations when Vettel overtook someone.

Special Mention: Ricciardo's performance deserved more than a point
Best post from the race thread: This one
Race Rating: 9.5/10 - best race of the season

Best Driver: Verstappen - what a drive. So impressed
Worst Driver: Raikkonen, Rosberg. What a pair of clowns.
Best Rookie: Verstappen as above so below.
    Best Team: STR and mclaren
    Worst Team: Williams
Best Overtake: Hamilton on rosberg turn 1. Was predictable. Though the grid and first turn being a left kind of favours 2nd place.

    Most Surprising Result: mclaren racing
Least Surprising Result: Sainz and Raikkonen losing it.
Funniest moment: Raikkonen trying to batter that barrier.
Excuse of the week: Rosberg. Bad excuse of a top racing driver.

Special Mention: Lewis Hamilton 3xWDC. Well done sir.
Best post from the race thread: smithers and the new car parts.

Best Driver: Quite a few stood out.. Verstappen, Sainz, the two Red Bull drivers when the conditions were wet.. but Sainz just edges his team mate for me, from last to 7 (6 if he hit the Pit Limiter button in time) was damn impressive!
Worst Driver: Kimi for again being Vettel's bitch and Rosberg for dropping it when no pressure on him, sorry, but he just doesn't have the "minierals" and I highly doubt he'll trouble Lewis next year!
Best Rookie: I'll give it to Rossi, in a car with downforce levels of a box of cereal, to keep it on the road was very commendable!
Best Team: Mercedes, Double Double World Champs, how could it not be them!
Worst Team: Williams, how they continue to struggle in damp conditions is not funny anymore!
Best Overtake: Loads of good overtakes, will give it to Button's 2 in one corner move.. Alonso's into turn one was pretty darn good too, was nice to see both McLaren drivers mixing it with the rest of the grid, hopefully this is a sign of things to come, Chassis is decent, just give them more power Honda!!

Most Surprising Result: Maldonado, doing a grand job in tricky conditions, well played!
Least Surprising Result: Hamilton winning, Rosberg binning it from a winning position and then sulking...
Funniest moment: Capgate and Kimi's car trying to make love to the tech-pro barriers!
Excuse of the week: Whatever Rosberg said after the race..

Special Mention: Vettel, great drive! And Hamilton, 3x WDC!
Best post from the race thread:
Race Rating: 9/10, best race of the season, maybe Bernie's sprinkler idea wasn't that daft after all!

Best Driver: Sebastian Vettel and Lewis Hamilton.
Worst Driver: Kimi, Hulk and Kvyat.
    Best Rookie: Max.
    Best Team: Mclaren and STR.
    Worst Team: Williams.
Best Overtake: Raikkonen made some good moves, Button 2 in 1 was also attentiom grabbing.

Most Surprising Result: Mclarens, Maxa and Vettel.
Least Surprising Result: Kimi crashed and Lewis won.
Funniest moment: Kimi getting jiggy with the rolex board.
Excuse of the week: Nico "He was too aggressive".

Special Mention: Everyone who finished this mad race and the marshalls all weekend.

Best Driver: Max - As much as I think he is an accident waiting to happen.
    Worst Driver: Kvyat
    Best Rookie: Sainz
    Best Team: STR
    Worst Team: Williams
    Best Overtake:

Most Surprising Result: McLaren mixing it
Least Surprising Result: Merc strategy variances "drivers will NOT split strategies"
Funniest moment: CapGate - Not because it's funny but because they look like a pair of spineless girls protected by the PR of the sport.
    Excuse of the week:

    Special Mention: Button & Rossi

Best Driver: Button. Pulled some good moves and was aggressive in defence for once. Ricciardo had a good go too.
Worst Driver: Kimi. I know a lot of people love him but I think he's overrated and is certainly making a lot of mistakes atm.
    Best Rookie: Max Verstappen
Best Team: Mercedes. 1-2 after all. Shout out for Toro Rosso.
    Worst Team: Williams. So inconsistent.
Best Overtake: Hamilton on Rosberg first corner. Button pulled a few good moves too.

    Most Surprising Result: Button
Least Surprising Result: Alonso getting passed easily and getting annoyed.
Funniest moment: Kimi scrapping his way off the barrier
Excuse of the week: Rosberg "this has never happened to me before" (yes it has) and "was games, was nothing" in relation to his cap throwing wobbly.

Special Mention: Button - aggressive and delivered for McLaren justifying his positioning in F1 at McLaren next year

I'll second that, may even be better than, Hungary 2015, Bahrain 2014, or Canada 2011.

Best Driver: I'd like to give this to the great HamAyrton but Sainz's 20th to 7th impressed me more
Worst Driver: Kimi over the other contenders because he really should know better
Best Rookie: Sainz, although, obviously, Verstappen had an excellent race too
    Best Team: Toro Rosso
Worst Team: No one deserves it this time
    Best Overtake: Sainz on Button

Most Surprising Result: Sainz's car failed to fail
Least Surprising Result: Rosberg lost it under pressure; Kimi messed up - when does he get his own crash website?
Funniest moment: Rosberg's strop with the cap
Excuse of the week: Rosberg: "This has never happened to me before" and "He was too aggressive"; it was a race with a championship at stake, you stick to throwing caps, Britney

Special Mentions: Jonathan Edwards for his exceptional commentary skills and Helmut Marko because, as much as I dislike the way Red Bull operate, he sure knows how to pick 'em. Also, drivers Vettel, Button, Maldonado and Nasr

<laugh> Oh dear, premature senility strikes. Even now I'm struggling to remember: is it Ben?

I am impressed by him though, honestly! ;) Coulthard too is a good foil.

At least you didn't think I'd be daft enough to praise 'Crofty'. It's incredible to think that he and Edwards are each other's counterparts between Sky and the Beeb. Maybe BBC can start an 'Ask Benji' feature to even things up a bit. He is called Ben, isn't he?

Well the first thing I'm going to ask him is why is Croft (I refuse to use his self Created 'cool' nickname (knob)) such a f**cking Tw*t?

Best Driver: A few to choose from, so Sainz, I guess the conditions suited his rallying genes.
Worst Driver: Kimi, had a few incidents IIRC
Best Rookie: Max by a mile
    Best Team: Mercedes
    Worst Team: Williams
Best Overtake: I'll have to rewatch them, I remember a few good ones
Most Surprising Result: The McLarens both fighting in the top ten on merit.
Least Surprising Result: Rosberg falling apart and giving it to Hamilton. again (and again, and again)
Funniest moment: the Cap man do
    Excuse of the week:

Special Mention: Vettel, Button, Max, Hamilton

Best Driver: Sainz for Race, Perez for weekend.
Worst Driver: Raikkonen. He's an embarrassement behind the wheel now.
    Best Rookie: Sainz
Best Team: Toro Rosso pound for pound
Worst Team: Manor - Rossi was 30 seconds off the lead after 4 laps after the last restart. GP2 cars would have been faster.
Best Overtake: Sainz on Hulk - I think Hulk anyway, it was early on.

Most Surprising Result: Mclaren's not being blown away on the straights. Maybe they will be points contenders consistently soon?
Least Surprising Result: Alonso's car fails to lose him points. It's become a custom now.
    Funniest moment:
    Excuse of the week:

Special Mention: Rosberg, got pushed off deliberately at T1. Amazing VSC restart and gained a 10 second lead to only have it messed up due to Kvyat being rather useless.
Best post from the race thread:
Race Rating: 9/10 - If it didn't decide the championship it might have got more ;)
