There are some notable absentees. The Great Thread Starter has turned into a hermit. I never really doubted his true colours.
It looks like even their match going fans are deserting them, the rumour is they've only sold 600 tickets for their LC game at Stoke
I think the problem with Guardiola going to Chelsea, is that Chelsea have been playing the way they play for so long now, and the squad have been built to play that way, so it would take a massive overhaul for Guardiola to implement his style of play. The flair players that Guardiola likes, the likes of the Mata's and De Bruyne's who are good at keeping the ball have been shown the door, and been replaced by players who are more defensively minded. The defence aswell is built to play the Chelsea way, you really think that a slouch like Ivanovic would play fullback in a Guardiola side? Or Terry would get a game at centre half with the defence pushed up to the half way line? No chance. AVB tried to get Chelsea playing that way, and it backfired spectacularly, so I don't think it would be a good idea for Chelsea to hire that type of coach again. Unless they are prepared to give him lots of time and accept some poor seasons during a long transitional period. Guardiola I think will leave Bayern soon, I think he just wants a Champions League trophy with them and then he'll be off. And I think it's very likely he'll come to the Premier League, but it will be with either ourselves or Arsenal, all depending on who's got a vacancy at the time. Though I think it's a strong possibility that there's already an agreement for him to take over once LVG leaves next season
Maybe slightly more likely to got to City to collaboate with his Barca mates, but by all accounts, he is cosmpolitan and would prefer London>provinces. My guess his choice would be: 1 Arsenal 2 City 3 Chelsea 4 United
Guardiola has shown a desire to manage the biggest clubs in Europe, I don't see him wanting to manage a side that's been on the scene 5 mins thanks to an oil tycoons millions. That's why we are the likeliest destination for him, as the biggest club in the Premier League
Don't suppose he gives a ****. Doubt he is all ******edy principled in that respect. If the moneys right he will go.
Trust me if we want him well get him. We have the finances aswell you know. Probably even more so than City now FFP is starting to kick in
Hope you do. Be good to see what he does when he isn't handed the best team on the planet on a plate as he was at both Barca and Bayern.
FFP has been modified so City can spend far more now hence they bought De Bruyne and Sleepy this summer. You financial advantage has been eroded by the new TV deal from next season too. You've had a huge financial advantage for two or three years but you blew it I am afraid. It is less now
it certainly would be interesting, but don't underestimate the job he did at Barca and Bayern, it's not as easy as you think keeping Champions motivated, as Mourinho is finding out this season
