Top performance (3-5-2 worked well!) Deserved to win Cotts and the team came across well on the telly
Spot-on MTG - I have posted elsewhere (and on the Cardiff forum) about us seeming to bring the best out of opposition goalkeepers. How many times have we played well and piled pressure on, only to miss out on the points? Is it a weakness in our efforts on goal, or do keepers really, by some fluke of chance or act of God, simply have their game of the season when facing us? (Ok, Marshall is quality anyway, so that doesn't apply to him) Had Ameobi's late effort gone in (and it should have done to be honest - even I could have scored that) we would have been talking about a DEFEAT, with the 'Cotts out' brigade in full voice and the Sky pundits saying how unlucky we were. Lets face it; we nearly LOST. I'm not trying to spread doom and gloom, but on another day, Ameobi would have buried that and we would be left scratching our heads and crying over yet another 'injustice' after winning all the other game stats but the one that matters.
