No competition runners today. But 5 on Tuesday: TYCOON PRINCE (IRE) VALUE AT RISK NR SIZING JOHN CHARBEL (IRE) NR NO MORE HEROES (IRE)
Interesting money for one in the Redcar 3.10 tomorrow; SIGURD 14/1 upped seriously in trip for its handicap debut!
By the sire of Don Cossack and Dell Arca (plus the bumper winner Nambour)... the step up in trip should be very important to the horses chances!!
Josies Orders 16/1 Galway 4:10 - raced predominantly over the big fences last season but interestingly reverts back to hurdles for his seasonal bow today where I hope connections are looking to exploit a generous looking mark of 123 for him. Josies Orders dotted up by 7 lengths when last sighted off a mark around this before contesting some very competitive hurdle races off marks in the 130's without success. It could be just a pipe opener for the now Enda Bolger trained gelding with a view to another tilt at the larger obstacles or cross country but if he is ready to go he should go close from this mark. Nina does the steering in the McManus colours where he has 3 arrows to throw at the target. All the best folks
That's a sick card for a Tuesday at Punchestown, with Sizing John and No More Heroes making their chase debuts not to mention one Elliott's been jizzing himself over Typhoon Prince....Really think the first two will be beasts over a fence and certainly are Cheltenham Festival types.
Fine Article is in that beginners chase with No More Heroes, he should make a useful chaser this season if Paul Nolan has learned how to train a good horse over the summer.
Fabricate has been smashed up here, has looked a lovely horse so far and the market suggests another win is forthcoming. Bank Holiday here today, 2 Jam Doughnuts and a nice mug of coffee, 8/10 the doughnuts could have done with more jam.
Two small wagers at Galway on a miserable wet bank holiday monday 4.10 Powersbomb 6/1 4.45 Silver Turtle 11/4
Josies Orders definitely not wound up but ran creditable for 8th spot. Will surely be going back chasing for Enda I'd imagine, possibly still a pot over hurdles if he wishes.
I put up Billy's Hope the day she dead heated for 2nd in a good Punchestown bumper in May, she subsequently ran a stinker up at Roscommon where I can only assume something was amiss. Jessie Harrington stated she's a very useful tool so I'm chancing she's back on song for her in Galway's bumper at 4/1 and it won't take much winning.
Great run by Billy there, she's a good one alright, proper jock on top and she will be fine. Katie out muscled us up the rail to win well.
