All that matters to me is it was a very very poor decision. Not going to say they've got it in for us. Catts should have been booked along with 4 WBA players which included what should have been a 2nd yellow for Dawson. They were all cynical fouls designed to halt a break, all stone wall yellows none booked including Catts. I don't think refs have it in for us I just think the standard is very very poor. Bout time they were stripped of their professional status if they drop below a certain standard. A review comity needs setting up who judge performances with a scoring system and refs who drop below the standard are relegated. Lets give the young ref in league two who's shown promise the chance to climb the leagues of the back of good performances. Shake up need, it's not just us, Refs are a liability left right and centre. Now with the money involved there's so much more stake. Bout time steps were taking to maintain a high standard of officiating.

You're right bro. Too many lazy performances by the officials.

Nobody can give a good enough reason to not have vid tech so by default I'll just assume it's corruption and Russian gangs calling the shots <ok>

Stoke just got away with a stone wall red card keeper went in hard off the floor studs up, nothing.

    Swansea should be livid.

It's a wild theory fella but not impossible. With the betting markets available these days, the deterioration in the assistants in particular have been very telling. Not big decisions, but blatant errors on simple things like throw ins and corners seems to have increased. Unless I'm just scrutinizing closer now and it's always gone on.

Could have been nasty, can't bring myself to feel sorry for Swansea though, they should ****off to a Welsh league and play by the rules!

That fan who was on here week ago telling me the world is in awe of Swansea <laugh>

Stoke are absolutely bossing this game at the Liberty shed.

Shelvey has tried a couple of long range efforts as well, of course, nowhere near, of course!

I used to be local league referee and it was really obvious to me how I could decide who was going to win the game- that's why refs need to be so objective - you owe it to both teams and supporters unfortunately seems over regulation and officialdom are taking away commonsense refereeing - - plus money - a referee does not get better by being paid obscene money - they are in it to allow football matches to go ahead and supposed love of game - money is another root of cause of corruption. At local league level - human error by often inexperienced referees - most were fair when I refereed & of course many were learning their trade - not an excuse just a reason for frustrations all round - Speed of play in professional level is not an excuse - body language and on field atmosphere/tension is a pointer.to decisions.
Technology should now be used for big decisions but in general professional referees do not have such an excuse for atrocious decisions - I feel hidden agendas come into play !!

    Should Swansea be punished?

They showed unfair footage on their big screen at the stadium last night which included a replay of Jack Butland's lunge which in fairness, should have probably been a straight red card.

It's illegal under Premier League rules to show live footage or replays which attempts to bring into question the validity of an official's decision.

Swansea were clearly attempting to influence the referee or at least make him realise his mistake.

I for one, would like to see Swansea punished for this, although I'm all for Vid Tech, I think every club needs to play by the rules, they can't be exempt because they were the victim of a bad decision - a ban from screening anything inside the ground for the rest of the season?

If there`s a rule covering it then there has to be a punishment for breaking it. What that is though I`ve no idea. Bound to be in the spiel somewhere surely?

Kicked out of the league, with immediate effect.

**** off back to the valleys.

That's the exact terminology written in the FA handbook.

Called it spot on imo. He clearly realises possession doesn't mean greatness like the True geordie is deluding himself with.
