Nev is a diamond geezer. He should pop by more often. He'd get a warm welcome from me.

I jumped up and shouted penalty straight away. The ref was 5 yards away. Pen all day long, suck it up and show some class rather than being a ****tard.

You speak for all of us mate. I'm devastated. Just got to try and maintain class in defeat, as I'd expect the mackems too in victory (and they have). I'm signing off now, if you're in town get yourself down to Sam Jack's and I'll buy you a drink to cheer you up, PM me if that's the case <ok> Take care.

Let's hope so, but do we just want to keep surviving season upon season where's the enjoyment in that. We all need hope and part of me thinks it would be better to go down and start a fresh. I don't think for one moment we would come straight back up this time but so **** would be good to at least have a chance to win more than we lose for a change

I think today's game started the way you could have predicted. Nags on a high after scoring six last week having most of the possession until the lads settled into the game bearing in mind we hadn't won this season yet. Sunderland were going to keep it tight. Tucked the full backs in and wanted to ease into the game without conceding a goal. Possession is possession but if you don't do anything while you are on top in the Premier League it will come back to haunt you like Sunderland against West Ham.

The penalty clearly was a penalty. Coloccini's pace got exposed and Fletcher got in. The rules of the game are what they are now. He had to go. Similar what happened to Lens a couple of weeks ago. If you look at the Lens sending sending off people like Norman Hunter and 'Chopper' Harris would be appalled but it was a red in today's game so no argument. Johnson did the business on the penalty and away we were.

Again in the second half the onus was on the Nags to get the goal so Sunderland just needed to sit back and wait which they did. Big Sam maybe many things but he knows how to play. Hence another 3 - 0......neither team from the North East will be relegated....Norwich, Bournemouth and Watford...will go down.....long, long way to go yet.....

"The defining moments were two referee decisions he got wrong. Gini Wijnaldum's flick in the first half was handballed by Lee Cattermole and the penalty for them was never a penalty. The penalty and red card were a double whammy."

Sorry Mclaren but Cattermole had his hands by his side, so it was accidental. And going by the book, Colo clearly pushed fletcher with his shoulder, while running into him and while Fletcher did not have the ball so it was a foul (if fletcher had the ball, and they were running side by side, some contact is allowed). Fletcher could have gotten that ball, and could have put it in the back of the net therefore it was a denial of a goal scoring opportunity and a red card. is the rule right/fair ? maybe, maybe not but that is the way it is.

Plenty of possession,no cutting edge. Penalty yes, red card no. #SAFCvNUFC

No pal, that ain't the way. Relegation's never the answer. You guys have to what we've been doing for the last 4 or 5 years. Just grind them out and stay up until the better times come along.

We both have the groundwork, resources and fan base ready for when the owners and management teams get their acts together.

Until then, we'll all be fidgeting in our seats until that day.

I think most of us have. Had Colo not been stupid you could have stuffed us. I also thought it was a harsh red. The ref was a homer, perhaps too new to ref a Derby. You were much the better team first half and more than matched us 2nd half.

Think Lee Cattermole was excellent today.

Only one to stand up and be counted in a very poor first half.

And he knacked that ginger twat.

Having watched how quick Newcastle broke against Norwich last week big Sam got his tactics spot on sit back dont get caught on counter let them play in front of us and it worked. Newcastle might of looked the better team but was that down to our tactics but to be honest I don't give a **** hahaha I still remember Taylors dive weren't crying then about penaltys then were they
