Pearson might fancy that one, lots of English players, a bit of potential but needs a middle-sized overhaul
Hoping the current bottom 3 all go. In a perfect world, Chelski would replace Sunlun but that won't happen, unfortunately, will it.
How could a man that looks so defeated and close to crying in every post match interview motivate or inspire a team. He's pathetic
Pearson 4th favourite at 10/1 behind Rogers, Moyes and some other bloke. Moyes easily the best option there.
The darling of the press and pundits sacked I was lead to believe from everything I've read and heard that he was the new Messiah who could do no wrong? Can't believe the press and pundits got it wrong thank #### they didn't fancy CR guess as we have always known that they know sweet fa .
The guy looked like he'd aged 10 years since being appointed. Has the kind of arrogance you want to smack. Shame though, he would have taken Villa down for sure. Mind you who ever they bring in still has a mammoth job on their hands to turn their season around. Nigel Pearson anyone to repeat the great escape?
Whilst Sherwood is not the most endearing of characters (to put it mildly), his task wasn't helped by the sales of Benteke and Delph, that's for sure ... those two, along with Vlaar were the difference last season in terms of them staying up or going down ... I do think if he had been able to hold on to them (and had they remained fit) then he would still be in a job... Whilst I don't particularly like Adebayor, you have to wonder why Sherwood wasn't allowed to bring him in during the window? ... he certainly would have bolstered them up front ... and a combination of him and Sinclair in attack woud have given defences lot to think about ... The signing of Lescott baffled me ... Vlaar and Richards already give you plenty of experience (and don't they still have Senderos?) - pairing either with Lescott only makes you vulnerable to pace through the middle ,,, Grealish is overhyped for me ... not saying he hasn't got promise, he has ... but the press coverage he has received has as much to do with off the field matters than performances IMHO ... he needs to grow up and showing his taent consistently Potentially a very big club but they need a real shake-up - like Wizard I'm not sure this will be the right job for NP at this point ... but certainly would be if allowed to build from the Championship... I think the January transfer window will be absolutely crucial for a number of clubs ... Have to worry for Bournemouth because they have now lost arguably their 4 best players to long term injuries ...Norwich are also looking vulnerable right now ... but Villa, Sunderland and Newcastle are in a real dog-fight and no mistake ..
Think Adebayor would have smashed through their wage bill. He has been on ridiculous wages, which is presumably the reason he hasnt moved away from Tottenham. Senderos is still at Villa, but that is presumably why they brought in Lescott . Sherwood now being linked with Swindon. Hope they dont give him too much of a transfer budget in January, cos his £50m spend in the summer hasnt gone too well.
... but you'd have thought they might have come to an accomodation with Spurs to pick up a good proportion of his wages - win-win then surely? ... as for Swindon ... might suit him whi knows ... bit different ... tranfer budget in turnips and a goodly dollop of Nightsoil - which is close to the bullshit he normally spouts tbf ... can just see his post match commentaries ,,, "It's not all about me ... although obviously most of it should be ... no, it's about the team, the staff, the fans, the cattle, the sheep, the pigs, the hens .. oh... and me, again.."
Any 3 but us No doubt 1 if not 2 of these will start turning it around, i watched sections of the Newcastle Sunderland match yesterday and thought that McClaren had actually done alright in building up the team, questionable how long it took them all to gel, and if it will last though. Sunderland i think will haveto continue to win scrappy like they did in that game, they certainly won't get that rub of the green again.
Talking of staying up.... Isn't it next season when the tv money goes up even more to some ludicrous amount. Even more Important season to stay up if so
