Yes. He got Swansea promoted then consolidated them mid table before taking us to 2nd place and back into the CL. He's good enough for all team from top 6 down no question.

He's good enough for any PL team aiming for top10 or less.

Villa are perennial relegation candidates, would BR want that?

It's nice to see you defending your manager for a change. Lets hope it lasts this time.

Defended Rafa throughout his tenure, and Rodgers for 2.5 years.

But please continue to make incorrect assumptions.

Louis van Gaal's first competitive game as Manchester United manager ended in a historic home defeat at the hands of Swansea City.
A day that began with the Dutch manager receiving a rapturous welcome from the Old Trafford fans as he walked out before kick-off ended with his side being beaten at home on the opening day of the league season for the first time since 1972.

    Poor Newcastle.

Refs had had a howler there. Colo just shoulders Fletcher out the way, far stronger and ref gives a pen and a red card.

    Ruined the game

Dont really see what that has to do with the liverpool media lovefest. It must hurt you that we still beat you to a CL place.

Anyway keep those fingers crossed lads, your new man could make history again today

Was a weak pen to give away, although you'd have to be a complete bellend to barge an opposition player in the area in a derby game. Red Card was harsh though.

I thought the keeper was getting there regardless of whether collocini makes that challenge. Stupid frm the defender.

But the fact the keeper is getting there first, for me, means it shouldn't be a red card, as it don't think there was an actual scoring opportunity.

Nope, he runs straight into him, knocking him to the floor without being anywhere near the ball. Clear foul.

Was never a red for me though as the keeper is getting there even if the challenge isn't made.
