https://www.facebook.com/groups/523313397760587/ its in the Hull City AFC International group, the highlights normally appear pretty quickly there
I hope the higlights show the bit where Abel runs down the touchline after scoring and goes to the bench. Brucey holds his arms out pretending he's coming to hug him. Funny as. Think abel went to Jako. Bit more of a report for you there Fez.
Also the cock in the North who got thrown out. Adding insult to embarassment being taken out in front of the Brum fans. Funny as them singing ****er to him edit brum not bum
Any idea what that was about? The only amusing thing about that was seeing the steward go flying down a few steps but luckily remained on his feet.
You are spot on. As I said a few months ago this squad should have been looking at nothing except being champions. Yes we look okay, but I look back at the ridiculous judgments of Bruce and can't help but be annoyed that we are not above Brighton and leading with the style the fans deserve. Manage the squad well and they respond. Dropping Hudds was key and Bruce had most of last season to realise that, never mind 10 games of this season. Let's keep this going now and become dominant.
Absolutely spot on with this LBA. Centre midfield has been AWOL for the past two seasons...and the one constant factor contributing to this has been Huddlestone. He may be technically better than any of his competitors for the role, and he can spray out precision long balls to the wing as well as anyone playing the game, but he slowed everything down. Jake's return has been a timely godsend and the underrated (by some) Meyler is showing what he can do both as an attacking midfielder and a hardnosed defender. Bottom line we have finally, with the offensive threat of Elmo and the overlapping Robbo and Odubajo on the wings, plus the hardworking Clucas (the surprise of the season) got a midfield that can make a real contribution and open up defenses for our strikers. Abel and Chubba, and hopefully a fit Diomande, should really rack up the goals with this kind of support. Abel already has 7 with scarcely a quarter of the season gone. So 20 is a real possibility, if he stays.
Not quite yet Charles, if he's there long enough to buy Huddlestone then he'd spoil Villa, properly. Equally he can **** off if he renews his interest in Jake now that he's in the clear over the drugs charge.
Bang on the money Canada. It's been so long since we've had a fully functioning central midfield that some people don't appear to recognise that the change today, when there were partnerships evident all over the pitch, have been created by both central midfielders working equally as hard as each other, and not prompting the team to pass the ball around in our own half, adding to our possession figures whilst totally detracting from our attacking effectiveness. I don't dislike Huddlestone, and I accept that he is clearly one of the most naturally gifted players in the squad, however he lacks any form of pace, appears to struggle with his engine, which is quite a problem for a central midfielder, and doesn't appear to have the passion to play in such in a key position. To me anyway, and it's been blatantly obvious for a looooooong time!
Hayden may do ok in midfield when needed too. Maloney I think did add some threat. Diomande is an unknown quantity at present, and we've yet to see how Snodgrass is after his injury. Diame will hopefully be back to his best with Huddlestone out.
Bruce will only take us so far in the Prem, Sunlun fans said this to us ages ago and I'd think I'd agree now. On paper we should not have been relegated last season. For me, Bruce will get us up but once promoted, if it happens, then with Bruce I feel we will always be in fear of been relegated shortly after.
I posted early in this thread that the attendance was 17423 (may be 1736) of which 1444 were away fans.Assuming BC had an allocation of 2000 there were around 7000 empty home seats for a top of the table game. Why is that?
