Hopefully, the coaches and players will have upped their game during the week, and will want to redeem themselves after Monday's "non" performance. Additionally, Ayew will not want to lose to his brother's team.

    1-2 to the Swans!

    Sack race latest odds......next out............
    Sherwood 4/7 Betvictor
    Monk 5/2 PP 13/5 Betfair.
    Next is McClaren 10/1 PP.

Monks odds in big time since Monday.

My 20/1 on BR being next Swans boss seems a good shout. And my 5/2 for him being next Villa boss hehehe.

Edit.........I love a gamble so fuk it £10 @ 5/2 Monk. And I don't mind if he proves me wrong and shoots us up the table.

If we don`t beat Villa, it`s not the end of the world. If we get stuffed, or are really outplayed and rubbish (like Monday), then the cards are on the table.

Let`s not forget that the worst a position we are in, the lower the shareholders value. If the value of them go down a fair bit, they are going to want action done.

Just saying we are now in a money game, the football takes second place to the "filthy lucre". Money will talk a lot quicker than the results game.

I`m going for a win to the Swans, if only because I can`t contemplate losing to a really poor side like Villa, if we do lose, then we are really poor. Shareholders beware.

Do supporters of other teams hit the self-destruct button as quickly as Swansea fans?

Things could be better, but we haven't even lost 2 consecutive league games yet!

Compare with Villa who have lost their last 5 and 7 of their last 8. My opinion is that Monk will have to lose a lot more games yet before Huw begins to contemplate the sack.

It's a case of riding the storm, not jumping overboard when a storm cloud appears on the horizon lol.

You can go an entire season undefeated and get relegated ,it's all about winning , not not losing .Im afraid we are reverting back to what we use to do best , get a point and be happy..Nobody wants to jump ship , only to steer clear.

Monday pre match Monk was 20/1 to be the next manager sacked.Today PM those odds have been slashed to 5/2,as I posted earlier.Bookies do not slash odds as much as those for no reason. No smoke without fire.
Of course they could be covering their backsides, just in case.Money must have been going on him next out hence the cut in odds.
Sherwood odds on next out.Betting on an odds on is a sure way to the poor house, unless you can afford to bet thousands and shrug it off if you lose.
I hope Monk can get us clicking again.Bookies do not often get it wrong. In this instance, even though I've had a dabble on it,I hope they fail miserably and Monk takes us forward.
Heart ruling head, head ruling heart mmmmmm.
Main thing is that Swansea City remain in the Premiership.
    Yours,

Monk has gone from 'Not worried' to "We are in a difficult moment," in the space of 4 days? Wonder if Huw has given him countdown to lift off?....<laugh>

I'm pretty confident that Monk will pull through and turn things around, but for him to do that he will need to get tough with the squad and start sticking rockets up a number of pampered arses.......<ok>

Excellent bit from the above article...

"Reports in the national press have suggested his future is ‘uncertain’ on the back of six wins without a game, but the Swans are thought to be angered by such suggestions."

I think we'll get another win tonight even though the game is tomorrow <laugh>

My son is en route to Brum with Bigkidderz as we speak. Let's hope the journey isn't in vain. I have to be optimistic. 0-2 Swans.

Performance is the key to everything and if we perform to the standard we know we can we can get a result. There are no easy games in the premiership and bottom can beat or draw top teams, We are capable of beating anyone and villa are capable of beating anyone so i will be looking at our performance to get back to what it was than the result. All our top players are internationals and there is no way they will want the swans to stop getting good reviews as it will down grade their own chances of getting called up for future internationals. I honestly believe,,,,,No I'm convinced that the International breaks has had a lot to do with our form as each international player have had to switch to what the clubs way of doing things to the way their International clubs want them to play, We have a lot of problems when they return and monk being a young new on the scene manager has not mastered this scenario like the more experienced managers have. We don't have the same amount of quality at Swansea like some other clubs to step in and play like the first team have been playing and we are forced to play some of the internationals who are not 100% straight away when really they need a week more off to get back up to club strength.........It's a Blip we are going through and nothing serious that cant be fixed and monk will be hard at work fixing things.....that you can put your houses on......<laugh>

We should have snapped up Sinclair when he was on the market imo.....Villa have some quality players in their side just as we have and they will have targeted this match for 3 points. The plus side for us is we don't leak goals easily and i think they will have to be on the ball like they have been to be fair to them all season. The engine room will be the key towards our success tomorrow if they can play going forward more than backwards and plenty of shots on target outside as well as inside the box. I would be happy with a draw only because we are away but a win would be sweet as a nut to boost the confidence of everyone...

Took me 4 hours to drive back to Herts from Wales today - Friday traffic :(

Going for a 2-2 draw tomorrow followed by a 1-1 draw against Arsenal and a 3-1 away win at Norwich

"and Monk being a young new on the scene manager has not mastered this scenario".

This is the very same Monk that you built up so much that you insisted he was being head hunted by ----

    a) Real Madrid.
    b) Barcelona.
    c) Bayern Munich.
    d) Liverpool.

    Well,he would,wouldn't he?

Rumour has it that he will be in the new year's honours list - for services to inconsistency and incoherence. <laugh>

    Agree re Sinclair.

All P.L. teams "have some quality players", but some teams have more than others.
Unfortunately, some are only "quality" on paper.
The P.L. Club's target each other for 3 points every time they take the field,so today's game is no different to any other.
There is an extra bit of spice in the Villa Park clash, however, with both manager's under the spotlight.

I presume the "sweet nut" you refer to,is a monkeynut.
