INJURY UPDATE: More positive news on the injury front is that Robert Snodgrass will join in with full training on Monday.
Lots of options. Would go with Tuesday's team with Bruce continuing for Davies. The blues fans are very confident in all I have read!! I actually fancy us to get at least 3 again.
You'da thought that an intellect the size of Steve Bruce's would'ha noticed that 'Do 'n Diame' is an anagram of Diomande.
Big chance to put a maker down against an inform team. Same 11 for me (Bruce in for Davies) but we MUST start better with more positivity and intent. That seems easier for us to do without Huddletsone in the starting line up.
steve bruce has just told the press that Davis will be side lined For between 4 to 5 weeks... Appologies if anyone's posted this already... Oops!! Just seen the other thread.... Please delete or merge or what ever you do..
I'll take 1-0 to City. There were more forward passes on Tuesday but we weren't really that good. Ipswich were neutralised though. If Huddlestone starts I'm joining the anti-Bruce group.
Tough game any type of win will do but would be great to have a go, play well and get 3pts. Dawson and Bruce are not the quickest don't know a lot about Birmingham except they are playing well and Demarai Gray is a danger man, get behind the lads tomorrow and don't come on here moaning about the atmosphere if you haven't got behind the team yourself. Support and enjoy come on city
This will be our toughest game so far. Birmingham look well organised, and their record of goals scored and conceded is almost the same as ours. Both teams should be up there at the end, so as daft as it seems so early in the season I reckon this is a six-pointer. Hopefully the confidence gained on Tuesday will see us edge it.
Will be a tough test but I'm confident we'll get the result. Bruce in for Davies but otherwise unchanged I reckon
Birmingham fans need to get real. Other than the lad Gray they have nothing like the quality to worry us at all IF we are on our game. It could be more than 3 if we have our scoring heads on for a change. Robinson needs watching from set pieces mind as he has 2 in 2 atm. With another international break not that far away I expect Davies to be back / ready for our away game @ Brizzle City on sat. 21st November. Same team as Tuesday for me. What is the news on Isaac Hayden's injury that SB told Burnsie pre-Forest away game ?
Agree Tickles, Brum aren't scary they're just a **** team in form against other **** teams. The only club that comes close to having an equally strong squad in this division is Middlesbrough, and they're behind us as well. Anyone can beat anyone on their day granted we know that all too well but if our players can play to anything like the best of their ability brum will be a walk in the park. We have better players now than we had in the premier league in 2013/14.
Really not sure on a suggested team for tomorrow. The one SB chose on Tuesday was spot on for that opposition. Ipswich have dipped in form and in all honesty were v poor on the night. I really suspect Brum to come with more firepower and determination, so I am just not sure whether Diame or Maloney should be brought back in, at the expense of a striker, to strengthen the midfield and have a bit of creativity there. I know just having one up top doesn't show an attacking intent, but with Davies out I just think Brum will have a really good go. I know that Diame's last outing at Sheff Weds wasn't the best, but I just think Brum are flying and will see this as a good chance for 3points and open up a gap. SB has Tuesday and next Saturday to consider too. MK has to be one we would look to win!!!!! After saying all that - I guess that is why SB gets paid bucket loads more than me
I thought Maloney was unlucky to be dropped. Maybe SB thought he'd played too many games in a short space of time. I think he'll be back in the team. Give Clucas a rest.
I disagree completely, Birmingham have got a decent squad and some good players. They are 2nd in the league for a reason, not by chance. They have Gray who looks a good quality winger. Cotterill in midfield with Stephen Gleeson who has impressed me. Koby Arthur who's viewed in the same bracket as Gray and Donaldson who is a player I wish we had signed as he is probably the best hold up player in the Championship. When I have seen Birmingham on Sky his all around play is excellent. Then you've got old heads Eardley, Spector, Robinson and Kuszczak. You're kidding yourself if you think this is going to be 'easy'.
