    I'm 1/4 Irish. 1/4 Dutch. 1/2 Croatian. We're all mutts for the most part. The Irish came over here in droves around the turn of the century ("Gangs of New York" does a good job explaining this). Irish descendants are everywhere.

    Picked up on the Croatian connection, just been sending a DVD of one of NUFC's most famous players, if not the most famous ( Jackie Milburn ) , to a guy in Croatia that had heard so much about him that he asked about him in a PM on this program.

    I was raised on the terraces at Highbury, I didn't glory hunt my way over to the Gunners. Endured the Don Howe days. :) I HATE plastics. And yeah I've had a soft spot for the Dons since I was a kid and Dave Beasant and Lawrie Sanchez sunk Liverpool and the crazy gang romped from non-leagues to third in the old 1st. I'm a small club kind of a guy, and Arsenal when I was a kid - well they were never small but they didn't win a damned thing. Nothing like as big as they are now - I think that is why I love MLS, the clubs are still small enough that a regular bloke can go to a training session and gab with the players and so on. I was in there for Newcastle's training session this morning until I decided to retreat from the heat.

    I really wish there were more of you lot coming over, shame about the cost of the airfares and all that but if there are people coming you may see a few Watford, Newcastle and Everton shirts over in the corner of lot H - Ex-pat gathering and we'll be having a few beers before we head inside. Feel free to come join us if your reading and will be there.
