Matt and Ryan are off to U16 England Tournament next week in Paris playing Japan Netherlands and France from 27-31/10
Wow!!! And specific mention for the young lad as well. As I said before you must be a very proud Dad, and rightly so. It was great to see the team parade round the Cottage last night, getting the acknowledgement they deserved. Was that one of the Sessegnon twins limping around on a crutch?
England U16s went down 4-3 to Japan earlier today, thanks to two late goals. Clearly a flaw in not bringing on Matt, although Ryan did come on. The England team was: 1 Harrison Male (Leeds United); 3 Zech Medley (Chelsea), 5 Timothy Eyoma (Tottenham Hotspur), 6 Jonathan Panzo (Chelsea) (c) 12 Colin Rosler (Manchester City); 4 Oliver Skipp (Tottenham Hotspur), 7 Felix Nmecha (Manchester City), 16 Tashan Oakley-Boothe (Tottenham Hotspur); 9 Austin Samuels (Wolverhampton Wanderers), 10 Jadon Sancho (Manchester City), 17 Ian Carlo-Poveda (Brentford) Subs: Jamie Soule (West Bromwich Albion) for Samuels 53, Nya Kirby (Tottenham Hotspur) for Sancho 53, Ryan Sessegnon (Fulham) for Carlo-Poveda 65 Subs not used: Marc Guehi (Chelsea), Thomas McGill (Brighton & Hove Albion), Matthew O’Riley (Fulham), Phil Foden (Manchester City) Link to the Match Report: http://www.thefa.com/news/england/d...d-3-4-japan-report-271015#rdaO2E88RddMdPxw.99
Both Matt and Ryan started the game as England Under-16s were denied victory by a late goal on Thursday, as they drew 2-2 with the Netherlands in their second game of the Val de Marne Tournament. Ryan getting one of the England goals. Link to match report: http://www.thefa.com/news/england/d...netherlands-report-301015#YbMM0ef2Cy8xigb2.99
Both played well..Matt was substituted at 2-1 and they let a late goal in. Started v France and played first half when unluckily down 1-0. Second half totally overrun and lost 3-0..with great performance from England Keeper who kept out another 2 or 3
