So just as I expect the signings to slow down and stop trickling in, I read a very nice article that tells me otherwise! http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/14189193.stm Who do you expect to follow now? What positions would you strengthen? This has me a little more excited about the season, provided the players gel quickly, we could have a nice season
Appeal on another BBC LInk for fans to get behind the team http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/14198253.stm So let's all get there for 8:00pm..................and miss the first 15 minutes
Bellemy Goodwillie Miller Gestade Eremenko 5 and maybe Jenkinson (Arsenal) or a similar loan signing all the above have been conected to the club by the media so could be a goer .
As i'm sure you're aware. The majority of City fans love a beer before the game starts. The BBC have published this time to aid with queue flow, as to let you get in a few more at the pub, and avoid queues inside the ground.
You have listed 4 strikers and a midfielder.. I just can't see Malky being that narrow sighted. I believe we will get 2 (or three at most) between the 4, then fingers crossed a bolstering of defence, OR I would welcome an experienced keeper with good form
"You have listed 4 strikers and a midfielder.. I just can't see Malky being that narrow sighted. I believe we will get 2 (or three at most) between the 4, then fingers crossed a bolstering of defence, OR I would welcome an experienced keeper with good form" I think you will find Jenkinson is a defender (or similar loan signing)young ,premier and defender also if conjecture regarding past signings are forthcoming then the odds are within Cardiff's capabilities of making these signings; So to recap. 4 strikers(two of which Gestade and Mason would not be regulars ) midfielder (of whom i believe would be a regular)adding to a decent number of midfielder's unless one or two others were shipped out and the Defender (of which we have a decent quota.
2 strikers (1 'target man' mould and the other being a natural goalscorer) 1 winger to cover for Whitts and Conway (and yes I think Whitts is staying) 1 ball winning centre mid as I don't think Gunnarsson and Cowie are those type of players I think Malky's planning on letting either Gabor or Lee 'liability' Naylor go so that would free up some space and wages for another 1 or maybe 2 defenders as back up. I think the starting back 4 is pretty strong as it is but the back up is average at best, so this could be an area Malky's looking to improve which many of us might not have suspected. I think our keeper's are pretty strong and I believe if Heaton or Marshall are given a run in the team then either one of them will be able to prove their worth. I think we have 2 keepers at a similiar level and either one of them in my opinion could shine through with a little bit of faith from Mr.Mackay. I don't think we need to buy a new keeper, but if Malky chooses too then I'll back him whoever it is .
The only thing that bothered me about this report was that I first read in on WOL. But do we have a better working relationship with the Eggo now than in DJ's time? That said, I think he is right.
