If the guy can get them play like that every game,he will be a legend. The 2 best performances I've seen this season were both Leeds, tonight and Derby, why cant we be consistent.
Thank god for Irish bars, everywhere shut at 11,till I found Tommy Flynns open till 12.A swift 5 ciders.
I don't know whether it was in that interview that posted earlier in this thread (don't have time to listen to it) but I heard one before where he said "lets face it, leeds fans aren't gonna wake up one morning and say they want Steve Evans as their manager" best comment I have heard a manager say to be honest. Also quite happy he acknowledges that he most certainly isn't the fan's choice of manager.
Me too WJ, I liked how he expressed himself and, at this stage, it sounds sincere and like Steve Evans rather than a coach talking to media. Evans always seems to talk from the hip, rather than give himself time to think before answering.
Glad you saw a decent performance, but before you knock one out over a life size picture of Bunter on the memory. that's one point, unless we can turn good performances into wins we get relegated. We drew because the best shot stopper we have ever had jumped over the Fecking ball for their goal AGAIN. To put it in context the Fulham fans say that's the worst performance they have put in for years and they have been calling for Kit to go for months. You might have heard them singing this! But given the great support you guys were giving probably not.....
Glory obviously if we played fookin great,it would make them look crap, they never stopped running and gave everything they had, their keeper was MOM and kept them in it.They do have a fair bit of Quality in their team as well.No they didn't make us look good,we were that good we made them look bad, massive difference. And yes our keeper could have done better with their goal, but he played ok and even caught the ball a few times.Hes not the best in the league, but he's a long way from being the worst.
Here's my opinions on the game, not a match report fookin great performance battered them 2nd half, 442, a good first step on a long rocky road I feel..... First half action, another game were we go 1 behind. God dammit. This is getting very tedious. Here we go again SSDD. 1 down. Against the run of play. But heyho, we're improving, this game lasted 23 minutes, better than usual 10 or 15, so. At least Dallas appears to have a shoot on sight policy, think it's inspired him, perhaps we should try some shots on target and build up from there, maybe not now, maybe not even tomorrow but very very soon. Second half action, we've not been given a penalty that was apparently obvious, should have had a penalty, and, second penalty decision turned away. We only get **** refs! Botaka about to come on. Come on Leeds, super sub on. Finally got a penalty, Penalty - 1 - 1, yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssss, Come on LEeds. So Botaka on and we score instantly..... Fecking hell he should have started..We said that about Botaka against Brum too, even though it was his first home opportunity and he wasn't match fit. Garbutt and Antenucci squaring up after a challenge on the touchline. #lufclive, Ha ha ha quality, He should have given you a ****ing slap you little **** Gar butt. 1-1 will take that like. Not bad start for the Fat man, not a bad performance, good use of subs. .....for the first time this season Byram looked a player worth keeping, and, take note Mowatt - corner passing man on near post is useful. All up and all things considered, We drew because of the best shot stopper we have ever had, you might have heard them singing this. 12 shots and 6 on target - I would almost say that is progress - long live The Fat Controller! What can the Fat Controller do now? If the guy can get them play like that every game,he will be a legend. The 2 best performances I've seen this season were both Leeds, tonight and Derby, why cant we be consistent. I don't know whether it was in that interview that posted earlier in this thread (don't have time to listen to it) but I heard one before where he said "lets face it, leeds fans aren't gonna wake up one morning and say they want Steve Evans as their manager" Liked this interview, especially his final comment: best comment I have heard a manager say to be honest. Also quite happy he acknowledges that he most certainly isn't the fan's choice of manager. Glad you saw a decent performance, Seemed a lot better.
The Taliban and IS ALWAYS give a man a fair trial before topping them. We should be allowed to do the same.
Now, now, temper, temper paddyboy... Kim is nice to all his visitors , he changed at Teddington which was strange but we had a quick laugh and a joke on the platform. Perhaps he was meeting other weeds or going for a beer rather than going through to Wimbledon for the district line. Had more weeds later in the evening changing at Putney for the district line from East Putney when I was on my last trip to Weybridge.
