This is probably not the best time to be playing Liverpool, new manager syndrome kicking in, players returning from injury and for Saints after a somewhat jaded performance against Leicester City, our confidence and morale may not be at its best. Hopefully the tiredness and fitness levels will have been addressed.

No need to go over the top, a few minor niggles will do nicely.

We've been on Klopp's radar too, he said of Lallana 'lungbusting' display after the Spurs match, “I know him from Southampton and he can do 20/30 per cent more.” Mind you, not that scrutinous a radar, as he subbed Lallana off at exactly the time in proceedings that Pochettino regularly did!

Gonna be a tough game, why oh why couldn't the wait to sack Brenda? They're gonna come flying out of the traps and press us all over the park, we need to be ready for this and if we can weather the early storm for first 15-20 minutes then I think we've got a good chance of getting something. If they score early though it's going to be very difficult I feel. On the plus side that defence always has a mistake or 2 in them, just need to take our chances when they come (stating the obvious I know)!

Oh and if Vic wants to clatter Adam then that's fine with me as well :)

Rather he didn't clatter Adam early....don't want another yellow card holding him back. Into the stands when we are 3 up will do. :) Didn't see anything of the game, but Liverpool only drew with Spurs, so mustn't be terrified. And there is always the chance a few could get crocked in the Europa game.<devil>

What will they do if we coming flying out the traps and press them all over? I wonder then if they'll try and weather the first 15/20 minutes.

Yeah hopefully Sturridge isn't back yet either and they have a tough game on Thursday night.

How would people line up for this one? This a game for Vic and Romeu? I'd go...

    Stek (if he's fit :( <yikes>)
    Cedric
    Fonte
    VVD
    Bertrand
    Vic
    Romeu
    Mane
    Davis
    Tadic
    Pelle

Agree/disagree? Would anyone rather see JWP? Think that's probably the only part of debate, rest of the side pretty much picks itself?

Then we will have a hell of an entertaining game on our hands :p

Nah I just think it's Klopps first home (PL) game, the crowd will be buzzing, the players are gonna be up for it, if they score early then we are in trouble imo. But keep it tight in the early stages and I'm sure we will grow into the game and chances will come.

Jeez, I hope Stek is fit. I can't go through that again. No disrespect to Davis but that was poor & if Gazza can't replace him, then we really do need a new 3rd & 4th.

Bearing in mind this game is the first premier league game being beamed stateside and with our proposed development over their, its important Saints do well this Sunday.
With both sides pressing it could be a bit messy with neither team getting control until players start to tire a bit.
Dear God, please let Big Stek be fit otherwise my nerves will be shredded

Nah that looks pretty good. Davis has had a great run and i'd keep it rolling as long as possible. JWP hasn't been convincing for me lately and Tadic and Davis can take the set pieces between them so its not a huge loss in that regard. Also yeah please be fit Stekkers, SKD was less than confidence inspiring last week.

1-2. Feeling optimistic with this one, Liverpools injury list is massive and they've got a game on thursday to tire out the thinned ranks.
