Some people form opinions on a player and they don't change regardless of the performance, Meyler, Bruce and Huddlestone are all common ones.
_____ Biggest cheer of the day was when bloke on tannoy said we was worse then man u supporters Thats why I often say kids today are better behaved then in our day
I remember standing at the back of Bunkers against Crystal Palace. About six Palace fans rushed onto Bunkers brandishing knives. The City fans parted left and right leaving me standing at the top with completely empty terracing between me and the Palace fans. I had three options: 1 charge down the terracing into the Palace fans 2 let them charge at me and stab me 3 dive into the middle of the City fans 3 it was!
I dont think it's that remarkable considering we've just been in the Premier League. If Watford manage to stay up for 2 seasons lets see how often they score 3 or more.
Bournemouth and Norwich have both scored three already this season, Norwich have done it twice in nine games (Norwich have actually scored more than 3 ten times in 2015).
The obvious difference is that City don't attack so much as other teams. We mainly attack down the wings which is sensible some times but not all the time. I would have thought that with Maloney and Diame playing we would attack through the middle more but with them not playing on Tuesday it was less likely. But we have been going through the middle more recently than earlier in the season.
I thought Clucas was possibly the worst player on the pitch in the first half, fortunately he redeemed himself in the second.
I didnt mention Norwich and Bournemouth, as I dont consider them similar clubs to us. And we'd scored 3 in 1 game by the end of September, under Bruce, after our last promotion.
Surprised you disappeared. You didn't normally. Was stood next to the Palace fans with another poster on here. No one believes us when we tell them a copper said to a Palace fan who was waving a knife about "I have told you to put that knife away twice. If I have to tell you again it will be confiscated". It wasn't a small knife either.Hard to believe but true.
In which ways are Norwich not a similar club to ourselves? Apart from having more success on the pitch and having higher crowds from a smaller population? (Of course owners who are fans and respect other fans and keep prices at a reasonable level helps as regards crowd levels).
I would suggest that Norwich are very like us. They are out on a limb in a similar countryside as well.
They didn't arrest anyone. Apparently in those days what went on if football grounds was a grey area as far as arrests went as the inside of grounds was considered private property. In fact City were the first club to put a notice up, signed by Harold Needler and Terry Neill, giving notice that the police had their full authority to eject or arrest whoever they wanted to.
