I hope he didn't stick his fingers up at anyone - not a very good thing to do. As I've said before on numerous times in our love each other hate each other nervous breakdown / but lovely relationship, who would you realistically want if Mick were to walk / get sacked?

Been watching for a couple of weeks after seeing links posted on Twitter & thought I'd jump in. I always thought Mick was ideal when we were struggling, but not so sure how he would drive us forward. This is likely just a bump in the road but if those nay Sayers were to get there way, who could we actually attract to replace him?
If that’s what Mick said then it’s pathetic. In other words: if action x is absolutely the best thing to do to change the game in your favour, but the crowd have got in before you, then you won’t carry this action out merely because you’re small-minded and scared of “losing face”. If your perception of “losing face” means not doing something you know to be advantageous for the objectives of what you’re paid to do then you should be out of the door. Can you imagine going into battle with a commanding officer you know to be of this sort of mindset? I’d bow to people who get to games (unlike me this season – zilch) but I’m getting fed up with the reported performances, particularly the total (apparent) lack not only of creativity in midfield, but the ability of the central midfield to stamp any sort of authority on the game. Clearly the central midfield of Skuse-Douglas isn’t working. Will Mick change it? No, so perhaps the attitude above applies otherwise why hasn’t something given? Last season he seemed set on playing a formation with two strikers, which you can get away with if your defence is doing its job and the midfield can get a grip on the game and create something. This season our defence is largely garbage and last season’s lack of creativity out wide has been replaced in a central midfield that might as well not exist. So, to resolve this does Mick do something about the shape? Of course not, because he brought in Pitman (when he signed him, who was he going to drop to accommodate him – McGoldrick? Sears? Murphy?) and then signed two more strikers in Toure (who’s at least versatile so can play somewhere else) and Alabi. Plus whoever we’ve (hopefully) got coming through the ranks. What chances then of some flexibility over formation and tactical approach that sacrifices a striker in favour of some help in midfield? None, if the aforementioned pig-headed attitude applies, because many of us fans have been calling for this very thing.

MM seems stuck in a rut now...most likely losing the players' confidence too. #It is time now for a. change in formation b. bring fresh faces from what we all agree is quite a strong squad...bar the injuries. Another drab draw or two...even defeat, then we really are in trouble. Astonishingly us amateurs know exactly what needs doing....dont we always! Difference being Mick is paid handsomely for it! Look forward more in hope to tomorrow's game.
