Already looking like an Australia v. New Zealand Final. Possibly a Wales v Ireland 3rd place play-off match.
Id like the Irish to get to the final, but I think you're right Tickles, the Kiwis are going to be hard to topple.
Nope.. Northern Hemisphere 0-4 Southern Hemsiphere Ireland have 3 key players injured and the Pumas are much improved, it will be close but Argentina will win. Scotland, Wales & France have no chance
Very hard I agree with you. I hope that Wales and Ireland make the semi's and no reason why they cannot. Ireland have the best chance mind. Scotland I expect to get a right good going over by Australia.
Both Ireland and Wales have a good few players out injured so it'll be difficult matches for both. The argies are no mugs anymore, I've seen them beat England at Twickenham about 8/9 years ago. Springboks are still hurting from their opening game, I think they will be too strong and too aggressive for an under par Welsh side, plus similarly to the Kiwis, the Springboks haven't reached top gear yet. Looking forward the rugby this weekend, it's going to be amazing.
Well no real surprise that South Africa beat Wales by 23-19, game of kicks really.......only one try apiece.. Wales actually led at half time. New Zealand currently lead France 10-3.
Wow that was close. All Blacks have finally arrived at the World Cup. A massive 62-13 victory over France.
The French media had the knives out last week for the coaches and players. They might just be sharpening the guillotine after that.
Well done Sir, unless Scotland can do something super special then as you predicted it will be an all Southern Hemisphere semi-final. Didn't see the Irish being trounced by that sort of score (43-20 to Argentina). Why is the Northern Hemisphere so far behind? We certainly lack discipline, are slow on the break down and can't seem to shift the ball fast enough.
If you watch the super 15 rugby and the Championship this isnt a surprise at all The Northerm hemisphere rugby is so god damn dull by comparison- The french top 14 is just a kick for territory fest
But the Heiniken competition has some decent games. Something I found out a little while ago was that Aussies and Kiwis let their 5 year olds play a form of contact rugby other than pulling a ribbon from the shorts.
Scotland were robbed, since when do you get a penalty for a knock- on. So the semifinals look like this. 24 Oct, 1600: South Africa v New Zealand. Twickenham. 25 Oct, 1600: Argentina v Australia. Twickenham.
